  1. Do you mind sharing how you got robbed? Didn't receive payout? Sold for way under perceived value? Was it auctioned to in-person crowd or online?
  2. You better knock it off before you get this thread locked. jabroni.
  3. At a real auction house, or an online comic house? I think the message you replied to was suggesting one of the "big" comic book-selling online auction houses.
  4. See? It's all your fault. So, wait a minute, does this mean that all English teachers are trolls by default..?
  5. I'll give you a couple hints: It starts with an "E". Created by Trollywood. Have fun.
  6. Locked up, yesterday, friend. There's a Friday thread already begging to be blown up, but I'm not taking the bait.
  7. I read Shazam: Power of Hope and Wonder Woman: Spirit of Truth and they are both good IMO.
  8. I've only seen stock images for TPBs and HCs. I wouldn't buy a stock image comic listing unless it was released recently.
  9. I've received emails for being mentioned, messages, and warned... I never received emails for replies, though.
  10. If your thread gets locked, then maybe you're the troll. That may be above some people's reading level, though. I was never in adult school for 2 decades, though... And I also haven't complained about CGC's grading of my brother's books prior to knowing how to grade myself... I digress... Lock it up!
  11. I thought Civil War was good up until the 12-man wrestling match. Hawkeye vs Black Widow and Black Panther is 100% cringe-worthy: "Are we still friends?" "Depends on how hard you hit me." "We haven't met yet. My name is Clint." Now, Black Panther does have the proper retort of, "I don't care", but just shoot me already... I thought that Tony Stark in Civil War is one of the best portrayals of his character. His intro to the film was great with the woman who lost her son. Just, IMO, a very well-thought out motivational perspective. All of this is unrelated to Aquaman, so I'll just leave it at that right now .
  12. People gush about that airport fight scene, but really, why didn't Vision and Scarlet Witch just end it? They totally phoned it in during that battle, and Zemo's plan is so much more convoluted than Luthor Jr's, yet doesn't receive as much flak as BvS. The lack of stakes makes that airport fight scene a total bore during re-watch. I like Age of Ultron way better than Civil War. Also - Aquaman is an OG member of the Justice League. He's nowhere below Tier 2.
  13. People spend $10+ on a box of 20-count 4"-long paper cylinders full of poison that they can suck into their lungs with fire, effectively committing years worth of suicide, so...
  14. Ahhhhhhhhhh. I can talk to my cats about them, though. Good to know.
  15. Can we stop derailing this thread with BS? This isn't the proper venue for such a convoluted discussion.
  16. With the CGI rhinos at the end? I don't think so. The special effects were not that good during the 3rd act.
  17. Am I allowed to post "my opinion" of the grade in public to purposefully mislead other contestants..? If you're not cheating - you're not trying.
  18. So, I started reading the Absolute Edition, with Superman: Peace on Earth. I really got bored as %^&* and just skimmed thru most of it after a few pages. I almost decided to move on from the anthology. However, today I broke it back open and read Batman: War on Crime, and I think it's great. Seeing as it's the same writer - what caused this disparity in content? Is it the writer's take on the characters? Are there other limited series out there with the same writer book-to-book that have similar variations in interest? Now, obviously, taste between people varies greatly. I can usually go for most Superman and Batman stories and styles of any era, though. Bright Superman, Dark Superman, Campy Batman, Killer Batman, etc. I like 'em all. I'm gonna read Shazam: Power of Hope later today. I guess we'll see where that lands on the Interesting Scale.
  19. Whoa there, cowboy, you're really taking this straw-man to the extreme. I'll just see myself out from this ridiculousness.
