  1. Courtesy of @RockMyAmadeus Thank you sir! Hopefully you can read Spanish otherwise its still a cool panel!
  2. Do you try to slip its meals under the door? And quickly while no one is looking???
  3. Woah that looks like serious business! Best of luck man! If all ship out at the same time hopefully they travel in an armored Brinks truck
  4. Love Michael Keaton he's one of my favorite actors! People forget he played Beetlejuice. Super glad he's in Morbius as Vulture!!! Nice sigs man
  5. What do you think of the selling off of StubHub? You think it'll result in them pouring more into classified division? I don't know that Ebay's image has ever been that of a superstore. I could be mistaken but I think they've always been thought of primarily as a source of interesting souvenirs memorabilia etc
  6. The two are growing further and further apart with their business models. Amazon is beginning to resemble an online version of Walmart. I wouldn't buy snack items on Ebay unless it's a discount like protein cookies or something similar with a short expiration date. I go to Amazon and the options for the same item are limitless. On other hand I bought just one slab from Amazon and it was a *shot in the dark* lucky find just out of the blue one day. Incidentally I've since sold it. Ebay should play up who they are and embrace its strengths! Amazon is a runaway train that's not going to be cought by anyone!
  7. Two books with over-wrap drive me this is a fascinating topic! OCDs are so unique
  8. This is true! The idea of selling something people either already have or routinely throw away is a bit indicative of something Mr. Haney would do That being said it definitely can't hurt and if it can help with TATs it's a win 🤟
  9. What gets some customers bothered may not be cgc finding ways to profit. That's great more power to them it's the American way! It could be the fact that customers are sending in submissions then getting back slabs full of unsightly Newton rings obscuring everything. I think people just want the basics like encapsulation handled correctly first and foremost. What's the point of having a really cool label if your book looks like is has oil slicks on it? You could say well then don't submit books and that's fine that's a legitimate argument! Problem is people in this hobby have to think about market value and the other graders don't command what cgc does on the open market at least at this point
  10. ...Just joking but not everyone is experienced at packaging like most around here. They probably deal with customers who under protect valuable books then complain when they get their books back. I don't blame them for trying to cover all bases. The above post is right
  11. I’ve never understood this phenomenon. When an artist or writer passes, it’s not as though the supply of these books suddenly evaporates. And it’s not as if the quality of these books or their close association with their creator is a secret. Not saying I doubt the truthfulness of your statement. It happened with the passing of Bernie Wrightson. And I never underestimate the ghoolishness of some sellers. I just scratch my head when I see buyers react that way to a creator’s passing that way. Is it really true when a comic artist passes it results in value spikes for notable works. I understand signed copies since there obviously won't be any more but for regular blue labels? Would blue label DD 158s see some sort of increase? I don't know that there's too much precedent for this in the cgc era other than Stan. He's another matter altogether though. Maybe there's a precedent for DC creators?
  12. If there's less of them then yes. Usually that just applies to 9.8s
  13. Woohoo! Another day without the boards people would of begun to have kittens
  14. Bravo so much vintage awesomeness in one book Thanks for posting the ads and identifying where the art came from!! Marvel's 2 giants FF and ASM I'm sure were a goldmine for them. No accident they wanted them on Saturday mornings! Probably helped them sell a few more books. I wish I was around back then. What a time to be growing up Nice Batman pages too! Something I like to do when having time to kill is scour the web for some noteworthy pages or the splash from books I'm posting . Some are frustrating to find though
  15. Not sure what you mean? I think you're asking if there's a thread dedicated to ultimate spider-man? If you haven't found one in the modern forum then theres probably not. Maybe start one? The original that started in 2000 was fairly popular and had a damn good run! Bagley and Bendis did great work on it together. I'm sure there's people that were and are into it since they sold plenty of copies from 2000 until Bagley left in what? 2005?
  16. You mean the same thread they are on or just the same page? Maybe the mods killed the ability to quote someone from another thread to avoid derailing?
  17. There are "do it yourself slabs" for raws with sort of similar looking artful labels of some major characters. They're a little like top-loaders but two separate sides front/back that are joined together somehow. Its been so long since I've seen one I don't remember how. I remember they actually didn't look too bad. As tempting as it may be for them I don't think CGC goes there
  18. They probably either haven't begun negotiating or haven't yet been able to hammer out anything with DC. Or maybe they've already agreed on something but hasn't been announced yet??? Maybe working details dotting some eyes crossing T's? CGC doesn't have a bias other than to make more money. How do you know you'd like the artwork they choose for the label? They could go any number of ways with what they do. Something to consider is the possibility you jump the gun on a first Batman label then they release a second one later you like better. For example they released the first spidey label then later on released a second one that was cooler.
  19. They will release an animated label with Pool breakdancing
  20. Romita drawing 60's fashion coupled with 60's dancing...I'll drink to that 🍻🤟💥💥💥
