From that clip the CGI looks bad.
The eyes are too thin. Not enough drool. Why can't they at least get the eyes right?

Maybe. I remember they wanted to be "selective" and George didn't want that.
I called them & asked. They said they report GPA only if the buyer request their book to be reported. Otherwise they don't. They do list completed sales on their site for a limited time. I don't know if they list all sales though. I suspect they don't list the below market ones

I’m a newbie here but have been exploring my 9.8 options and came across the only one currently advertised which is the one on eBay Australia, except for this one https://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=500186
The price might be optimistic however I’m in the ebay race bidding for it so hope I get it at the price I want.
Yeah sure why not? An IH 181 9.8 with a Stan Lee sig seems like the perfect book to list without a photo!

he took all his hulk 181s and also his JIM83s and upped the prices on ebay once the recent auction highs were acheived. his strategy is clearly to keep everything overprcied until someone is desperate enough to set a new price high with him. amazing he ever sells anything.
He still has his 9.6 at ~12k. I thought he'd at least increase it to 13 after that last ebay sale.

GSXM in all grades. Not hugely undervalued but still think it is

No.... just his which is the 10,000th copy...
Oh ok. I thought I read somewhere on this board that they were all going to receive that notation from now on. Meaning the newly graded ones

Word of caution-- don't make it something you would be embarrassed to have to tell someone else to enter.

A 67 without paper pleats (what most call "printer's creases") is a very rare bird!
One thing I missed before buying this is the fact that it's in one of those slabs without an inner well. Thank goodness it avoided damage like a cover detachment during the ship. Whomever thought this slab design was a good idea should have their head examined
The answer for the OP is cover B.
Gil Kane is simply the GOAT!!!

I'd guess 4.5 for the stain, maybe even a 4.0.
OP should keep it in a mylar and enjoy it raw.
You're probably closer to being right. I like to be optimistic
. They hammer that kind of permeating stain.
Even at that lower grade it's still more than worth it. Who knows, few years from now he can sell it for way more than whatever he ends up dishing out after grading.

Very sharp looking copy! Plenty of detailed pictures.

I'll guess between 8.5 & 9.2 after pressing. The graders will hammer that stain on the corner. Nonetheless it's a gem book on the move!!

Yea they wouldn’t assign a grade like 9.8 or 9.6, they just said it had no visible defects and “nm or better”. Came back 9.6 so not too disappointed but the price difference between is more than double what a 9.6 is worth and for microscopic difference it’s crazy. Last I checked 9.6 800$ and 9.8 2000$
Mostly from what I've seen, the major difference bt a 96 & 98 other than corner or edge defects that are more visible are finite color breaking stress marks on the spine. But thing is that you can only spot these defects with a flash light & only at a certain angle. A magnifying glass would help. Yes it's definitely whacked out!

Yea but like most collectors I didn't have 2k laying around for one book.... so i went raw for 400 ...100 for signature and about 100 for grade press was only 600. Called today they said less than 2 weeks I'll post results
What was the grade on the 400 dollar copy you got? NM/M?

There is no Universe in which whoever buys that will ever recoup their money. You are hedging a bet there is somebody even more stupid than you. Think of the awesome (even harder to find) high grade Silver Age comics you can get for that price. A person can do whatever they want with their money. I don't get it though.
"More stupid than you"? I didn't say I'd buy it. I wouldn't do it for anywhere near that price! That price is embarrassing even for the most shameless hucksters on earth! Those funds would be better utilized for an ASM 50 9.4 then perhaps have some leftover for a bronze age 9.8 Spidey or 2

They (the variant crowd) are going to make themselves go broke, chasing false profits. Sure a few will get some cash up front, early on (these are the smart ones) selling them now. They know the game. But this most likely, will not sustain. These will die down, like most variants do. Remember late night cable, when there were two guys basically yelling at you to buy their limited edition sports cards, and the asinine prices they were selling them for. Worth pennies on the dollar now....Similarities?.....
The fourth one on the list with the Stan Lee label may have more staying power. I'd seriously consider that due to that signature placement but not at that absurd price!
