  1. I think it is new as I never noticed it before. When you look at a book- Avengers 25 as an example, you see all the books they have in stock, but there is a new box that will also allow you to see all the listings of that book on ebay.
  2. It used to be. Wood did this as an experiment. It was supposed to be distributed only to the military but the deal fell thru and it was never distributed. Someone stole a couple hundred copies and it was very much in demand. Then the tens of thousands of copies turned up.
  3. I don't have a raw copy but after Luke Cage started calling himself Power Man, the original Power Man showed up and jumped him. They had a multi-page fight that resulted in a kid getting hurt. During a lull in the brawl, Cage asks why they are even fighting. When PM says its over the name, Cage flips out and dials it up to 12. He kicks azz and takes names. Up to this point, I'd kind of liked Powerman, from his teamups with The Swordsman, and I wasn't the biggest Cage fan but both changed with this issue.
  4. It doesn't even have a Warrior Patch. What a rip.
  5. Wouldn't any book Chuck listed in his MH2 sales ads be a warehouse find? There is a Wally Wood book from around 1969 whose name escapes me that used to be pretty rare until a gazillion copies showed up. The book was Cannon.
  6. Early, so while I got two checks this week, I won't get one next week. The horror.
  7. MCs just messed up my whole week. I usually get their check on Monday, but this is a holiday weekend so no mail Monday. I'm going to Mexico for an overnite stay on Monday so I asked my neighbor to grab my mail on Tuesday. So what happens? My MCS check shows up on Saturday. Did anyone notice the new ebay listings feature on MCS?
  8. Eisenhower jackets were fairly popular at the time and this was just one with fancy buckles.
  9. Once I discovered Omni's and archives, my feelings for comics evolved. My eyes take to the larger versions better, and having a collection of expensive anythings can be a burden. I'm sorry if you are not doing well in the market. None of my holdings are off anything like 60%. I did sell a book for less than I paid for it. I don't like doing that but I apparently misread the market for it.
  10. You say that as if it is a bad thing. I love the fact that comics let me take an early retirement.
  11. No, but I'm sure he had a pair of those cheap folding sunglasses the Members Only crowd all wore. He was a fashion plate that occasionally went a step or two too far.
  12. I had a friend who showed up to an outdoor gathering wearing one of those. I'm not sure what he was thinking, but he was ridiculed and I never saw the jacket again.
  13. Best thing since sliced beer! Just sold a book they had in stock fot ten days. I'd expected 250-300 for it, priced it high at $350 and negotiated it to $336.
  14. As of today, I have about a dozen books processing, but these are books I bought from them and then consigned back so they were in house the whole time. I have a batch of raws on the way, I'll track their progress a little better. I'm surprised people are upset about not getting their books listed quicker. Have they looked at the alternatives? My sales have been incredible, averaging around two grand a week since the beginning of the year, with most selling well above what I was hoping for.
  15. I don't have an issue with it being considered SA. It came out around the time the Martian Manhunter and Captain Comet debuted so its not much of a stretch. Calling it key is strange. It's certainly scarce, and expensive but key?
  16. The 2nd Age ended with that alliance. It lasted thousands of years . As did the 3rd Age.
  17. I would think any legal claim the original owner had to these books is long gone. I also don't see how exposing the identity of the family will help anyone. If they wished to be publicly identified, they'd have done so. I don't know Mr. Dumas but he seems like a good man who dedicated his life to one cause. I will respect his privacy and think anyone of good will should do the same.
  18. If you are going to consider Sugar and Spike a key book, how is the Congo Bill series not key? S&S1 may be rare, but how is it a key book?
  19. Whatever MCS may lack in speed of setting up, they make up for it with the speed they process payments. Considering the weather and covid, I think they are doing fine. Anything from before 1-28 has been processed and is available for purchase. Thats 1-28-2022 for those of you who use CGC.
  20. It is a great place to visit, and it certainly has more than it's share of quirky residents. As our town motto says- Bisbee: We are all here because we are not all there.
  21. Thats because it is fairly easy to put together an early Legion run. I have a run that includes all their Pre-Adventure 300 appearences, the Adventure and Action run and then The Superboy and Legion title up until it stasrted reprinting the Baxter run. The only expensive book was the #247. Silver Age Legions consist of less than 100 issues and almost all are dirt cheap. Bronze Age Legions have no expensive issues, nor do the Copper Age series.
  22. I'm not very familiar with the Wonder Twins, but what is wrong with a movie being geared to a younger audience? Movies like Spy Kids and Shark Boy seem to have done well at the box office while appealing to younger fans.
