  1. All American Burgers. When you grow up in Massapequa, it's a dietary stable and eventually it breaks down your ability to live elsewhere.
  2. I'd really like to find a valid reason to vote for the FF, but in the end, the arguments for the AF trump any . I do expect the F F to return to glory, but can't see it being a better buy than the AF.
  3. I'm not crazy about them going weekly. I'm curious if they will allow you to warehouse books and pay one monthly shipping fee.
  4. How long does that take you? I've been plying around with the Brunner Dr Strange coloring book but I think i'm rushing. No idea what how long I should be taking.
  5. Will they have Newton rings? All the kool books have Newton rings.
  6. Anyone want some random Jack Chick comics/ pamphlets. These are mini comics, maybe 3X5, Black and white and 24 pages. Each one tells the story of either a sinner who doesn't repent and goes to hell or who finds Jesus and is saved. The real Jesus. Not the Catholic or Morman one. I have about 125, all appear unread. Three random for $3 Ten random for $5 30 random for $10 100 random for $25. May include a couple duplicates. Paypal only, $4 media mail per order, refunds accepted as long as you understand that gets you a one way ticket to someplace you don't want to be.
  7. noun, Informal. 1. a person who is aggressively engaged in or preoccupied with making or saving money You say that as if it is a bad thing. I like making money. In fact I love making money. The more money I make, the more I can give away. If you look at my ebay store, you'll see every item not on consignment, a portion goes to St Judes for non-comic items or Heroes Initiative for comic items, and I've repeatedly said that for years I adhere to the Harry Chapin Principal. Do one night( of gambling) for me, one for the others. But carry on. It's all you have. Enjoy.
  8. A random sampling showed the vast majority of those threads got multiple responses, stretching into several pages worth of discussions. I thank you for proving my concept- I start threads that people are interested in. You'll have to excuse me now. It's almost 11AM and time to get out of bed. Double points day at my favorite casino. BTw- I didn't insult you. I simply stated I stopped reading the thread when you started posting stuff about some friend buying a brazzillion books and not being able to sell a single one. I knew then that pages of drivel would follow.
  9. It's funny. You seem to obsess over my threads. I couldn't name two threads you've started. I'm sure you must have started some but I simply don't care. If you want to think that all I think about is money, I'd say you are mistaken, but that would be oxy-moronic. I start threads that I hope have some interest to folks here and as most of them have legs, I guess I do. If you don't like them, please ignore them. Simple solutions for simple minds.
  10. It's actually going quite well. I guess you don't bother reading my blog. for that I thank you.
  11. I guess you didn't bother to read the part where they supply you with prepaid shipping labels. Why aren't I surprised. Not sure why you think they'd pay ten cents a book for everything, but why bother looking when you already know the answers.
  12. https://www.mycomicshop.com/webuycomics Id imagine they will beat Mile High, but certainly shop around.
  13. It was supposed to say Kav but got auto-corrected. Seems like even my phone doesn't want to deal with him. Sorry.
  14. I stopped reading after mag started replying, but Mycomicshop has recently changed their buying system. It's fully explained on their site, but they are paying $30 a box for absolute Derek and picking up shipping. That's the minimum price. Worth checking out.
  15. There was a guy who used to advertise in Overstreet that he would grade your comics, put them in a mylar and ship them back to you for $1 a book.
  16. I can see some value to this. I'm at a show and want to buy a book. Dealer and I disagree on the grade, We agree to use this service and abide by their decision. A collector wants to sell his collection but doesn't know how to grade. He sends a sample and gets the results. I don't see this as anything but a niche, but certainly has some use, in my opinion.
  17. No one buys an upgraded book. They often buy non Lambertville, but someone graded it.
  18. Kirby had some production art made into mini posters and usually was happy to meet and greet young fans and autograph them for them. Just don't drop by on the Fourth of July while he was having a family cookout.
  19. So after reading all this, it seems quite possible that Mike was banned simply because someone using his badge was caught stealing stuff. As of right now, we don't even have evidence that he was even present at his booth,do we? I don't see him in any of the photos. My friends dad had his Yankee season tickets pulled after they gave the tickets to a neighbor and the guys were caught smoking pot and then fought with security and a cop. You are responsible for what people who are your quests do, but not necessarily guilty of their misdeeds. I haven't been friends with Mike for over thirty years, and we were more friendly than friends even then. We were in a trade organization together, had some common friends and partied together at Peter Parkers bachelor party. He is a hustler, eccentric as hell, ultra high energy, can rub a lot of people the wrong way but he is also always been a man of his word and someone I trust. I sincerely hope I'm not mistaken.
  20. Didn't this happen after the show ended? During breakdown?
  21. Remainder sold via PM. Thanks all. Invoices going out.
  22. That's how it was for me. On Long Island, I had a Law Professor who discovered he loved comics. First day he came in, he spent about forty dollars on back issues. Soon he was spending $200 a week. Didn't care about New issues. Soon he was looking for complete runs of many SA titles. There were weeks he was a quarter of my business. In Puerto Rico, I'd guess a dozen people did over a third of my sales.
