  1. My last submission was in January 2023. The top and bottom are not sealed. Did the guy that did the heat gun youtube video note anything about using a more recent submission book?
  2. I had never heard that. The inner sleeve would also need to be able to do that, right? I never got the impression from one that it could, and I'm staring at a book, only in an inner well, from a second gen slab right now. Doesn't look like it.
  3. I might be naïve, but I cannot imagine a way, that a cost benefit analysis, would not lead them to think that releasing a list of every one of the scammer's submissions, is not the direction that they should want to go. This is heading in the direction of obliterating the value of their service.
  4. that slab that point five was having difficulty getting open, was graded in October of last year. It has nothing to do with improving the security of the slab.
  5. The breaking news, is that all of that language down at the bottom of the grading notes, now means "if you suspect tampering, please send the book back to us, and pay us to grade it again for you".
  6. agreed. It does still leave me laughing, that one of his attorneys wrote this, and stated that he is willing to stop selling CGC product.
  7. about 16 years ago, I gave up on one of their competitors. Two midgrade amazing Spider-Man books, after removing them from the slabs, were missing wraps. I also made the mistake of purchasing an incredible Hulk 181, from comic link, in one of their slabs. I resubmitted it to CGC, and it did not come back in a blue label. I never bought one of their slabs again.
  8. It’s not just a failure of CGC recognizing that books that were submitted for re-holder had been tampered with. It’s a failure of letting their customers know exactly how they are supposed to be able to determine whether or not their purchase has been tampered with.
  9. Once again. Not on the list. Clearly a Zanello submission. List books are in the same submission, from last year. Scan of book clearly not a 9.8 still there GRADE IS GONE from notes, and grade date changed to January 23, 2024. Clearly then not a reholder, right? https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4329914003/ Buyers beware.
  10. One of the first things out of Matt's mouth was "I can't really comment on that as it is a pending investigation." I think it's way too early to think anything he said will impact CGC that much.
  11. the last 3 numbers. So if the book 001 is in it, 002, etc, until results stop. maybe 015 will be the last one in the submission.
  12. I think that there had to be some impetus for them deciding last year to start putting scans in the grader's notes. Anyone that is buying comics that is not searching GPA for transaction history, and reviewing the other books in the submission that includes a certification number they have interest in, is out of their minds. Of course, how much does even that help, when a submission from 2019, with a FF #2 on the list, has been confirmed by CGC to have been screwed with? Here is another book from that submission https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/1393412001/ Why would I possibly consider buying that comic, when 2 of the books in that submission were put on the list?
  13. It's hilarious that they don't mention comiclink advancing them tens of thousands of dollars in their response. "Comiclink is pushing us on this." I bet they are.
  14. Why is this only Zanello's lawyer, and why is there no mention of Riva? Zanello's promises about engaging in further sales doesn't carry much weight without it.
  15. Why is this book, that does not appear to have been on the list, or been crossed off the list, and could not be any clearer to be a Zanello submission, have no grade noted and a grade date of january 23, 2024? https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4329914003/
  16. i've just seen an indication, that if CGC finds that a book has been tampered with, that is not currently on the list, and even though there are other books on that submission, that are on the list, CGC will be expecting you to pay for having that book regraded. @CGC Mike Could you confirm this, Mike? at what point is CGC going to explain, why exactly it is only books that were reholdered, that CGC feels that it is responsible for? is this being placed squarely on former employees of the company? it's been documented, that books have been switched into slabs that have certification numbers that are not on the list. What exactly is the distinction, between those swaps, and the swaps that are on the list? This sounds pretty insane to me.
  17. Maybe your eyes are even better than mine. What is going on at the bottom of the spine on the front cover, where it looks like a big chunk is missing? I'm not hoping that anyone infers that I think that comic is a 9.4.
  18. If you scroll in on the 8.5 and 9.0 the top that looks like additional cover is actually a shadow - I do not think they have been trimmed (but who knows??) I looked at all 3 scans on heritage, specifically at the top of the letter "A" (the yellow part of it) in Marvel (due to it's proximity to the top). All 3 of the books are identical. There is about 1/16th to a 32nd of an inch, between the top of the A, and the top of the cover.
  19. six weeks ago, Josh said that the list was only going to slowly dissipate. He was extremely confident about that. I noted to him, that there are plenty of us that didn't feel that way.
  20. he did post about one or two books that were on the list. He hasn't said anything about the potentially 2000 books, that there is plenty of reason to be suspicious about, that weren't on the list.
  21. it shouldn't be insinuated, that Josh has ever said anything about looking over any comic books, that were not on the initial list of 350. he definitely hasn't.
  22. What a submission. None of them on the list. October 4, 2023 5 copies of ASM 300. Each one 9.8 This one of them goes up for auction on comiclink on 2/15. 4336086005 Here's a submission. Neither book has a custom label grade date 11/28/2023. Auction starts for 001 on comiclink, Thursday. ASM 252 9.8 direct. On the list https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4357311002/ ASM 252 9.8 newsstand. Not on the list https://www.cgccomics.com/certlookup/4357311001/ When are they going to explain WHY??
  23. Seeing evidence that CGC definitely intends for all of the inner sleeves to be opened on reholders (not just previous gen slabs), plus the evidence of them marketing their service as tamper PROOF, I have no belief left that they expect to be successful in these lawsuits. I think it's all posturing.
  24. So comiclink never responded to your concerns about the grade and the obvious way that the inner sleeve could have been slid out? What was the selling format that you sold it to Zanello?
