If that grade is what was intended, I am at a loss for words.
-
And we have a winner! 😂. Edited to add… there are no grading notes. And the seller provided before pics with the defects so it was not CGC damage in process. I can only figure that they got this label swapped from a legit 9.8 book.

Something is killing the Children Thread- Boom Studios
BladeTX replied to WolverineX's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I only go to my LCS monthly and was pleasantly surprised to find my visit was timed perfectly to pick these up. The look fantastic. Did you look inside the book? The inside of the front & back covers have a cool graphic, and each of the books is a different color (blue, red, yellow, etc.). I'm trying to stay out of the SiKtC variant insanity, but these were so well done I had to pull the trigger. And it's a lot cheaper than {name your comic shop} variant for $30 a book. -

Super excited to get published again in TWDD #31 Letter Hacks with @Crops068 chatting with RK about villains. It’s our second letter we did together - the first was published in TWDD #19. Enjoy! -
Dude you are absolutely freaking for almost nothing. I've had 2 packages inspected and denied media mail but I was truthful and said comic books so they probably got flagged.. They don't rifle through it but they will send it back to you for more postage. So hopefully you had a return address on there. But I think the chance is slim, very slim.

The Official The Walking Dead Discussion Thread

I would love to see the story explored in another country. Set it in France, where they ended World Beyond with the most important info in 10 years about the virus since Rick & crew visited the CDC. Start it there, either before or just at the start of the apocalypse. I'm thinking Stephen King's The Stand here with it's "oh s**t what did we just do" moments in the research facility. That book (all 1,100 pages extended version) is still my favorite apocalypse story. And it starts with a super flu 😲 -

Third highest opening in history regardless of pandemic behind Avengers Endgame and Infinity War. $570M global in one weekend. Impressive.

Decided to send in #1 for Tynion / Dell'Edera sigs. Some risk, big potential reward! I'm a huge fan of creator-signed books. -
Something is killing the Children Thread- Boom Studios

Well it was totally DIY - I watched a YouTube video. It was surprisingly easy, though opening the inner well required using a box cutter about 1/8" from the book 😱. Even though there is a raised edge that keeps the blade away, it's a pucker factor moment for my first attempt. The signings are through Nocturnal Rabbit. I saw a thread where everyone was super complimentary about them, so feels like I can trust them to do the job right. Here is the link: https://nocturnalrabbit.com/pages/1-7-multiple-signings -

Sorry I was referring to your comment not to bet on it. Boom is releasing a SiKtC Deluxe Hardcover with Slipcase second print. -

Well looks like Boom is cashing in. In addition to a regular hardcover version launched a couple of weeks ago, they have also launched a second print of the "limited slip cover edition". Jump on one soon if you are interested. I wonder how that will affect the high prices for the first print slipcover book. I can't see it staying as high when collectors can have essentially the same thing for 1/2 of market price. ***Updated to say.. you are correct, Boom is really weird. They are taking pre-orders on the second print with a release date of JULY 15, 2022. What the heck - baffling.
