The Official Skybound X Discussion Thread!
BladeTX replied to Sensei Ryan's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Turns out I was wrong. They are selling all 5 raw for $100. Only $20 a book and not the $79 per book if they were all pre-screened and graded CGC 9.8. I think you are on the hook; BC said these should be in the full set. Good luck with the hunt! -

Actually you can't. There was a 0.5. Guy had it on the floor of his car for 3 years. But is sold for over $900. Sort of a bizarre oddity ππ€£. It got widely reported so I suspect it was bought for the story. -

Hey @bigclutch... Can we get this in poster form like the Art Adams connecting covers from The Whisperer War? Sans the logos of course. -

UF4 La Mole Edition - question for the masses
BladeTX replied to Sensei Ryan's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Jeez cannot be many foreign edition comics that land a 9.9... Impressive! I'm trying to understand this La Mole thing that isn't printed on the label. In Spanish, La Mole means either "The Mole" or it's a sauce, coming from the name mΕlli. Neither of which has anything to do with comics π₯΄π₯΄π₯΄ -

UF4 La Mole Edition - question for the masses
BladeTX replied to Sensei Ryan's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
Hey Bri, I think the confusion comes from our reference point as TWD guys. All the TWD Foreign printed versions say "Reprints Issue 1 in ________ {insert language here}. They do not say "First Appearance of Rick Grimes, Shane Walsh, Morgan & Duane Jones" like on TWD 1 2003. So CGC seems to be inconsistent here. -

I'm not sure. In the reply that BC replied to Ryan, he asked this question: Also - do we know when the connecting Skybound X cover will be sold in a CVL or on the site? I'm guessing it'll be after issue 5 comes out but thought I'd ask if you can give us that info, too (if you can). So I'm still not sure it he was talking about raw Clementine beyond the 250 graded or the connecting covers. He mentioned showing them off in social channels but we know what this book looks like already, making me think this could be the connecting covers. Given raw books have never been sold on CVL before, is this a sale of many raw books previously sold graded? Are these raw new books from inventory or the sub-9.8 rejects? Important info to know; I guess we'll learn more as 8/13 approaches. -

Even if sold separately, all at one time, it's going to be a pretty big hit for the completists out there. -

Hey BC @bigclutch, can you clarify your comment? Do you mean that the Skybound X connecting covers will be on 8/13 as raw books? Will they be sold in a set? -

Hi Stephen, that's why I tagged Ryan on an earlier question about this - definitely suggest you guys hash this out over DM. It really depends what that set is intended to be. All new TWD content? Or just all new TWD time bound by Issue 1 and 193? But that would leave out Negan Lives. LOL my head is ready to explode. -

Where are the Walking Dead Custom Labels?
BladeTX replied to BladeTX's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
I sent my TWD 1 2xSS for a reholder and added the label. Itβs worth it, but there is always the risk they could find something wrong with the book and downgrade it. That only happened to me once when I had a book signed (went 9.8 to 9.6). Original graders missed a color breaking spine tick on 39β¦ itβs all black. -

You have got to admit, a display like this with 3 different, and cover appropriate, labels is pretty awesome -

So it's been a year since the Walking Dead labels started to dry up during the Negan Lives submissions. We've heard several times that they have been planned but where are they @bigclutch? As a collector with 45 of 50 books in my set with custom labels, I've been patiently waiting. (Note, all 45 except 1 were added during CGC existing submissions. There was only 1 I sent to get the label added close to the end there. I'm not completely nuts ππ€£). Would appreciate an update on when we can expect these to be available at CGC. I'm sure the TWD Deluxe submitters would love this, and it would be great to have them on CVL exclusives as well.

I picked up 2 & 3 today. I really liked both. Good, hard hitting Invincible-style violence. Love seeing all the characters brought back to life! Lots of little gems in all of those panels. -

Here was my first letter published in TWD #186. It's a nice long one with a meaty discussion. And FOR THE RECORD, I recommended TWD Issue #200 be published in color (which would be the first new issue in color), and RK was thinking about it, so I AM TAKING FULL CREDIT for TWD Deluxe's color format!!!! πππ -

Well I kind of know the formula of what they are looking for. I sent my first letter and was published in TWD #186, so was pretty much at the end of the run there. My hit rate has been 5 of 7 submitted. One to TWD was just dumb on my part - I talked about something RK said before he would never do. Regretted submitting it as soon so I hit send. The other - which we submitted together for TWDD #13 - I thought had a great shot but we submitted really late. We hit pay dirt with this TWDD 19 π
