  1. Good to know I’m not alone . This store and owner have been defrauding people for way too long and I gave up on trying to get my 60.00 dollars back but it defies logic a store and responsible shop owner would allow themselves this reputation for something so trivial . Just a degenerate shop owner preying on people .
  2. Comic Tom posted third print info where I’m sure he got info from confirmed sales because that’s what they do anyways . Crazy thing is I could have bought 9.8 third for 6K Canadian and chose 9.6 to match my issues 2-4 . In two weeks the price shot up .
  3. My bad maybe it was 9.6 that sold . Regardless 9.8 in market is easily over 20 that last 9.6 was strong sale on heritage April 5/2021 . The 9.8 third print was offered on comic collector dot com no buyers at that time for 9.8 I purchased 9.6 ( three available ) then that copy went to eBay where it hit nearly 10 large .
  4. This comic shop deals on eBay as well as Facebook , Instagram all the normal channels for comic buying . On Nov 10/2020 I purchased a preorder Amazing Spiderman 55 LR guaranteed presale cgc 9.8 comic. Obviously it takes time to get the comic graded etc but I can safely say after many attempts via email to Doug Cegelis the shop manager I have zero doubt I’ve been defrauded out of my money . It’s June 8/2021 and I still don’t have tracking information or a refund or a comic. The email responses have been nothing short of rude . Somehow he’s shifting blame to me for buying and paying for a comic he solicited but has never shipped . I’m familiar with CGC and wait times this is utter absurd ness . A warning not to buy from them on eBay ever but def don’t support these crooks . I’m an honest collector and I’m very lucky it was not a lot of money but it’s the point that this is a predator of our beloved hobby. I have all of our emails if anyone is interested If this is not enough warning for you read his eBay feedback and the pattern of people’s reply’s will back up my claims . He’s doing this to many other good collectors out there . His store google reviews also show he’s a repeat ripoff fraud artist.
  5. A 9.8 second print sold 20K 9.6 second prints 15K 9.8 third print 10K 9.6 third print 3500 9.8 Fifth print 2K these are recent sales
  6. Not only have they not dropped but 2,3,5 printings have gone up .
  7. Innocent question here looking for some feedback . I realize that incomplete books are not desirable compared to complete . How do collectors feel about getting cgc 0.5 blue label incomplete if it’s a htf book and has a great cover ? It’s getting tough to find WW2 covers for a decent price and if you have a chance at a great cover but it’s a 0.5 do you go for it ? Curious on how people feel about both investment part and the collectability of it . thanks
  8. I’m also after TMNT 11,13,16 in 9.8 please pm me I’m cash ready always for these issues . thsnks
  9. Book to own is UF4 first print newsstand without question . Next in line is the direct . There’s no way second prints should be close in value no matter how low print runs because the cover is direct copy ( big deal it shows his face ) the initial point of the cover was the surprise reveal of the new Spiderman . I doubt the second prints overtake first printings in value . The market set that over the last two years . The only reason second prints climbed in value is because collectors got caught with there pants down not buying the first prints .
  10. Some good points there . I never really looked at the “ normal “ copy as being more scarce but it makes sense . Almost every copy that comes to sale is the “ error “ edition . Mmmmmmmm?
  11. I think there are plenty of copies out there in all grades in blue labels so getting a green virtually kills this book . It’s not rare but hard to get in 9.8 for a good price . If you just want a copy buy it and don’t grade .
  12. Ahhh ok . I had no idea that CGC had values attached to books . What would they use to calculate these numbers ? Auctions , eBay ? I’ve never seen this before I’ll have to compare them to go collect and whatever else is out there as a guide I can already see some huge under valued books example issue 4 second print in 9.8 is one expensive comic so that value is out the window cgc has . I’ll take it with grain of salt it’s for a baseline of some sort . Obviously our market has taken off
  13. The numbers in the column with points? Explanation or breakdown ?
  14. What does the point system mean on the cgc 9.8s? They get higher points for harder to find 9.8s?
  15. Issue 4 is one of my favs and so are the variants that come with it. I love my copies . I purchased second print and error off eBay raw in 2010 for 80.00 US if I recall . Amazing books!!!
  16. It’s the best turtle cover and one of the most iconic because it crossed two genres comics and video games . It’s also extremely difficult to get in ultra high grade . Perfect storm and one I think that continues to climb in price . Easily one of my fav covers . The error edition is another unicorn in high grade .
  17. It’s the 9.8 game that gets attention from issues 5-17. Very hard to find some of those . I see 9.6s all over Ebay so the pricing has not caught on yet from what I see issues 1-4 sell for . The third prints issue 1s have really climbed and all dried up 9.2 or higher . Just a month or so ago you could find 9.4-9.8 for sale but for good money.
  18. I love this cover . It’s basically the corner box art blown up front and centre with Thor’s new costume ( armoured version ) . Tough book to find in 9.8 as many have not been graded and I have been digging . It looks so classic with Simonson art
