Before the big comic price boom I had a longer list of wants but today I’ve settled for my absolute childhood favs. I’m trying to round out my collection with few big books and some original art I can sit back smile and watch my son grow. Sub-Mariner Comics Timely 1,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11,13 (to finish the run a tall order but so much fun hunting these down) Amazing Spiderman 1,3 Amazing Fantasy 15 Fantastic Four 5,48,49,50 original sketches of namor by John Byrne original sketches of black costume spiderman by John Byrne and Clayton Crain This is my want list and if I had these I would be content. I have many more cool comics , cards and art so taking time to see if I can pull this off would be great

Where do you guys price Cgc 1.5 blue/

AF15 ASM1 FF5 FF 48,49 owned all the Spider-Man books two years ago sold them to help finance home furnishings etc in my new place and boom this market exploded. In 2008 I could have bought Cgc 8.0 FF5 for 800.00 opted for issue 4 Cgc 6.0 which I still own but would love to pair these as I have issue 6 as well. The surfer books just got way pricey fast I hope maybe to get them out of this group but doubt it

Golden age for the simple fact they always appreciate in a healthy manner. Short term and long term they are a great era to look into if possible . I couldn’t just sell all my TMNT as I’m a fan as well I’d def sell high grade and buy lower grade copy and move the funds into other keys to get more for my PC.

Ok take your collectables to your bank and let me what they give you for them …. Maybe you can put them down as payment for new home …… NOT!!!!! We live in collectable make believe where everyone thinks these are investments when true investments would never take these as payment ever. Nor would and financial institution.

What I meant by manipulating shares is whos to say the investment company is not propping up their own book to get more investors to buy “ shares” ? So the value is inflated would anyone buy 10K worth of a book if you knew that 70% was owned by the company ???? All I’m saying is you could lose everything and the company walks away with the asset anyways lol.

Only buy graded . You can do this with comics although tougher because the flaws and wear on books is more extensive . I stopped buying on eBay because they just don’t give enough protection

I guess the only thing to compare it to is what would a TEC 27 in 0.5 sell for then try figure it with AF15. These are huge first apps we are dealing with and a meteoric rise in price . It’s scary . I sold my 2.0 for 14K two years ago now it may be 35-40K???? Nuts

I’m happy you passed with every auction that passes I’m being more and more squeezed out . I tried to win the 3.5 on Heritage not even close . I was fortunate I saw this on Instagram planted the seed early and few weeks later it was mine . Great book and I’m happy playing down here in low grade pool lol.

Nothing to do with hucksters . Market is correct on 9.8s in newsstand version and price variant newsstands get 50% over reg cover Direct copies . Those are numbers I don’t set market the buyers do . It’s been climbing for a number of years. As for hucksters look no further than scummy dealers out there milking every penny off customers . They invented the word.
