Mine comes back next week ....... it’s 9.8! It was first of two I sent off this copy I felt was lesser of the two. It’s a very rare book in 9.8 is all I know . There are plenty of raw copies coming to market but 9.8 is tough . Here are very htf issues in 9.8: tmnt 1 fifth print tmnt 4 second print ( Nintendo cover ) tmnt 4 misprint error cover ( 1000 or less ) tmnt 7 second print ( krang cover ) Numbers according to a quick search on gocollect 1. only 14 universal 9.8s 2. only 4 universal 9.8s 3. Only 4 universal 9.8s 4. only 14 universal 9.8s

They are very heavy and solidly made . They are not small either . The sideshow versions are a tad larger but these just look the part to me . You can display them separately or like this forming a dio. I wish more people could see these in person I have no doubt they would seek them out . I’m blessed to have them. -

Some of the coolest memorabilia out there were made by Playmates but in statue form . Nothing since has been so true to early comic art and toys as these . I figured I’d share since some of these cool figures have been brought up -

Thanks for the post -
A sleeper printing if you can find one is 9.8 fifth printing . Beautiful vibrant red cover but only handful have ever been graded 9.8. I’d be all over one of these

What made you choose those three as keeper titles? -
Finally got these all in and I’m happy . I’m noticing on eBay two cgc tmnt 2 went in auction cgc 9.0 $997.00 Canadian cgc 9.4 $913.00 Canadian just a heads up folks be smart in your bidding and watch for new listings . Whoever bought the 9.4 got a steal compared to other listing that day. Now back to my books

The census is really low compared to what they printed . Some didn’t make it for sure

Finally a big moment for myself as I locked down a copy of this htf Sub-Mariner 30 Timely. I’ve been building a run over the last couple years and this issue completes issues 14-42 for me . A very low census number for this in blue labels ( I believe it’s 12 copies ) so getting any grade made me happy. It’s def low grade but that’s all I can afford so I’m excited . Next stop will be CGC. -

Love these . I do the same for 1980s spiderman pin backs . I also have vintage pin of the turtles . I love that large black and white pin . What’s that from ? -

That makes me feel great . I thought it was good but not sure how pricing spills onto the other books other than issue 1&2 which seem to get more price hikes than the others there was another bidder who placed their bid first and it was for minimum entry amount . I made one bid for minimum amount and overtook the bidding and then placed my security bid at very end . No other bids were made????? Odd but I’ll take it -

Well after scoring a great copy of TMNT 2 first print in cgc 9.6 I was surfing eBay auctions and stumbled on issue 4 cgc 9.6. It was auction with zero interest it seemed as seller stated it was local pickup only. It may have discouraged bidders I went ahead bid anyways hoping he would change his mind and send it my way, and won the book for $ 354.00 US .The seller agreed to ship to my surprise , I felt this was also a great price for my fav cover in this run . Any thoughts ? -

Def the first four issues in first print are very hot and limited in numbers compared to other copper age stuff. Some other notable books worth grabbing issue 4,7 second prints , Raphael 1 second print , TMNT Adventures 1 Archie , Tales of Tmnt / TMNT 4 error edition are some of my fav books in the series . Honourable mention IDW TMNT 1 cgc 9.8 is very tough book as well These are books I love . I know there are many more I’d add to this -

I did end up grabbing this . The conversion works out to 920.00 US for cgc 9.6 first print . Appreciate the tips I had to ask around because these books have gone up very quickly and wanted to make sure I was paying fair market -

Question because I’m quite out of touch with pricing . In a local shop to me I stumbled on TMNT 2 first printing in CGC 9.6. Price is 1200.00 Canadian . is this a score ? -

The seller was reluctant as he stated it was one of his fav covers from a personal collection . He opted to keep both his issue 11s lmao . Can’t blame him . -
