  1. Yeah- not sure what kinda scam is slipping in something like that for free. But the ASM 1 is def an issue...as far as I know there was no mention of it in the video he posted when he originally bought the throws in collection. He also tried to trade the Cap 1 cover very quickly (didn't seem to want to sell it or send it to Heritage). It’s the sketchiest of the group.
  2. I've been talking to the owner of the Hulk 1 a bit...seems like theres 3 people in total who've bought from the same guy in person...and I think at least 6 books (plus some raws) involved - tho the one that stands out is the fake Cap 1 cover and the ASM 1 (same guy)... as I understand it he's the only one who hasn't filed a police report. The police have been dragging their feet with the Hulk 1. Starbucks has video of the exchange but will only release it to the police - who haven't done anything about it.
  3. This is what I don't get also...how does the ASM 1 fit into this? Unless I'm missing something, theres no mention of it in the small collection that included the Cap 1. Was it a separate buy from the same scammer?
  4. The top 3 are fake labels, the bottom is real. The first 2 are pretty obvious by looking at the surround on the grade box, but the ASM 1 is much closer to the real one tho the proportions and font are a bit different...I can't tell if the color or blown out gradation is accurate because it might be the photo, but they're close enough that you need to compare them to an online pic of the same book and grade to make sure its real...and maybe even find a pic of a book with the same serial number on Heritage if its expensive enough (thats how they caught the Hulk 1). Theres also fake 2nd gen labels that have similar issues with the grade box.
  5. To crack or not to crack..that is the question.
  6. Interesting comparison between two of the top BA grails...HoS is by far the rarest in high grade.
  7. What do you think...supposedly been bagged and boarded from day 1. Needs a press for sure...
  8. That one I posted wasn't mine...heres my (raw) copies. Looks similar to yours.
  9. Does anyone have a link to the article that said there was only 300 TMNT 3 NYCC Variants printed (not 500). I know its out there somewhere. Thanks
  10. I think that's correct - I know of one collection of 10 raw copies, 5 were just graded and one came back a 9.8.
  11. The answer is.... Thank you to all who participated :-) .
  12. Shutterstock was having a sale on clip art.
  13. So…can anything now be stapled to a reprint and be an officially recognized variant?
  14. Part of a fun little collection I picked up recently -
  15. Funny- the owner brought it to 3 lcs and none of them pointed it out.
  16. oddly I'm not a SA DC guy...other than ASM, BAT181 and Greatest Adventures - what else do you see?
