    Had to share some OA I picked up at an estate sale a few months back...from #4 & #7 (second prints). It was part of a larger collection that went to Heritage Very cool to see a duotone, a technique which isn't around anymore... nfs

    I think its possible that without that white line on the spine it might not have gotten a 9.8 since the black is so delicate....

    In a mind blowing HA auction yesterday, a Marvel Spotlight 5 9.6 went for 42k, down a whopping 85% from 265k for the 9.8. Granted, the book was poorly centered, but wow - thats a massive drop.

    Blows me away that a 9.6 can go for 25% of what a 9.8 goes for...

    I’m actually a bit surprised the 9.8 didn’t go for more…Marvel Spotlight 5 has 4 9.8s and it went for 265k. TMNT 1 also has a lot more, and it went for 250k.

    I was also a bit surprised it didnt break 80k, based on the CC OW/W copy that sold last week for 78k.

    Slight update to this old post - I sent it in to CCS for a clean and press... BTW- This copy came out of the Oregon Coast Collection before it got sold off to Heritage Auctions...theres tons of great high grade (mainly BA) comics that are going to be posted at HA over the coming year (2021-2022) or so...keep an eye out for them if you're interested (search Oregon Coast Collection).

    Agreed- and the paper stock of labels is too lightweight as well...they're buckling in the the case.

    Agreed - It might have to end up there just because of the lack of any kind of standard. He actually has another 9.6 coming up at HA in Sept, and another high grade (currently raw) behind it so we have to get in line behind those ..in the meantime we'll see what kind of offers pop up.

    With prices all over the place, what would you ask for this? Last sale was 66k, the one before was 88k...both signed. The owner would love to do a private sale, but it might end up at Heritage.
