  1. Not a bad book to hoard. I use to have 4. Copies, but have sold all but one.
  2. OK, thanks. I'm fairly good at determining unrestored value, but at a loss with restored books.
  3. Is that a good or a low price for a restored 7.5 copy, I don't know.
  4. Thanks for the responses guys. Having the benefit of having the book in hand, I would say 7.5/8.0. I can't complain though, I paid a 3.0 price for it. I plan on pressing/ grading, so we'll see.
  5. no glaring issues, no tape, writing, tears, stains etc. complete interior, centerfold attached at staples. just general wear. light surface scratches on cover between Punisher's hip and Spidey's elbow area. thanks.
  6. Joined in May 2005. Don't post as much. But always here reading/lurking.
  7. just didn't think there would be that large of a price spread until you hit the 9.0 and above mark.
  8. so a 7.0 sells on Heritage for almost $50k and an 8.0 sells for $147k??
  9. Yep, quite a big jump in price from the other .5 copy that sold 2 months ago in April.
  10. so what's the over/under on this unrestored 0.5 on Heritage? I mean, it is a pedigree. does is end up more than the last 0.5 copy? https://comics.ha.com/itm/golden-age-1938-1955-/superhero/batman-1-harold-curtis-pedigree-dc-1940-cgc-pr-05-off-white-pages/a/7244-94018.s?ic2=mytracked-lotspage-lotlinks-12202013&tab=MyTrackedLots-101116
  11. Also, I think we are getting to a point where new buyers/collectors aren't as put off by restoration as much as older collectors. They just want the book.
  12. a restored .5 just sold for $9k. Unreal.
  13. thanks man, couldn't remember the amount after the . (point), well then, GO Action #1!!!
  14. so is this the top record period? or record for this grade? what did the 9.0 ebay copy go for years ago again?
  15. Yeah, fell a little short on my guesstimate. Lol. But I'm glad the Golden Age books are having some exciting price movements, should be a lot more when compared to Silver/Bronze books. I'm happy for Leroy and anyone else who owns a Batman #1.
