  1. Yes, I’m perfectly fine with the grade. I am actually very happy with it. The only concern i have is in this day and and time we have people cracking cases and switching labels on books. I love for all of my silver age and key books to have notes with them to show that it is the actual book. Just in case I ever decided to sell or trade anything , the notes can show that it is that actual book.
  2. Here is my submission page. As you can see , there is no link at all beside this book for graders notes.
  3. 5.0. I have checked every day and nothing has shown up. The grade is perfect in my book. With all of the fake cgc books being sold and cases being cracked and books swapped these days , It would just be nice to have the notes that match the book for the future.
  4. You won’t have to pay for them. Just go to your invoice list under your submissions page and click on the invoice number in blue. Then On the next page click on your grader notes and they will pop up for you.
  5. Even when they are not scheduled to be at a show , sometimes they have representatives there . At this years Tampa con they were not there but they had dealers at the show that could witness signatures on their behalf and when you submit the book it will get the yellow label. Be sure to check with them or or show promoter to see even when you don’t see them scheduled to be in attendance.
  6. I checked this morning and a few of my books have been shipped. My Spider-Man 13 doesn’t have any notes at all. Will they add them later or will it just not have any notes ?
  7. Anything with Race Bannon is a 10 ! Man I loved Jonny Quest , great find on that book.
  8. If it were me , I would want a green label showing the actual true grade of the books condition and then I would have the signature authenticated by PSA and keep that with the book.
  9. Are they cracked on the corners ? Does the box show any impact damage ?
  10. That’s really a nice example. I would be very happy with that book for sure.
  11. Thanks for the opinions. I would also like to make sure i am using the “popped staple” term correctly. I think the correct term that I am looking for is “detached cover at the staple.” Or does everyone just use the term “popped staple” ?
  12. Thanks , the reason I ask is I have a few silver age books that are attached but they are weak around a few staples. All of these books are in the 4.0 range. I recently had one pressed that had bad spine roll. It looks MUCH better and I think pressing it bumped the grade ,but during the process the bottom staple let go of the cover. What’s is the general thought within the community ? Have a better looking book with a popped staple or a book that has a very weak attatched staple and wrinkled ? Option 1. Leave the book wrinkled with a very weak attatched staple. Have a book that has less eye appeal that’s a 3.5 to 4.0 grade Option 2. Press the book . Have a book with better eye appeal but a high risk of having a staple pop ,that’s the same 3.5 to 4.0 grade
  13. My subject is gold and silver age books with spine roll that are commonly pressed and fall into the 2.0 to 4.5 range. Alot of these books have a bit of small tearing around the staples which leads me to this question. Is it common to pop a staple during the process on these books? Opinions and personal experience is welcome , thanks
  14. I may be in the minority here but that paid stamp on the back doesn’t really bother me. It doesn’t really detract from the overall look of the book in my opinion.
  15. Is the water , or just the page turning from age ? Expertise always welcome.
  16. Sold ! I will leave it as is and enjoy it the same. I have a hulk that i had graded that’s in the same boat as this book except both staples are attatched. However , it is missing a larger piece out of the cover. I would love to get everyone’s opinion on it as well to see if a 2.0 can be achieved. I will post it in a new thread when i get home. As always , thanks for your opinions.
  17. I have never noticed that style wrap vs the others. I did a google search and I see what you mean. One thing that you and Wipple both mentioned is possible damage to the book. I truly am not that knowledgeable about the CCS pressing process. What type of damage do you think could occur ? Do believe the damage could occur because of the wear that the book already has ? Thanks everyone for their time and expertise.
  18. I sent this book in for grading a few months back. Because of its condition I didn’t press the book. I did’t think it would look good being nice and flat with those aging flaws. My question is this .... with the cover missing a few small pieces , is it even mathematically possible for this book to achieve a 2.0 or higher grade ?
  19. I’m by no means a grader but I think this book looks better than the Avengers 1 I sent in a few weeks ago. I had it pressed by ccs and that book came back as a 5.5.
  20. I was watching an auction he had listed on a spiderman 129. It ended yesterday for over $2300. He had cracked it open at the bottom left rear of the case. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Spider-Man-129-CGC-NM-9-2-1st-Punisher-Appearance-white-pages-/173580801931?hash=item286a38d78b%3Ag%3AFpcAAOSwnhJbvUK2&nma=true&si=jJZ6R49vnU51eWIYhZqprexVNg4%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
