  1. Also of interest is the 5 issue zine he published and wrote 'scholarly' UG related material for, Countermedia! Interesting that the title isn't mentioned in the book or article bibliography! I cherish my run of that mag as it's full of all sorts of fascinating information!!!
  2. First thing I had him autograph when I met him for the first time at a signing for Rebel Visions, which he also was kind enough to sign! Anything Patrick has published is an automatic buy for me!!! That list of his needs to be updated to include his book on Jim Osborne!
  3. Such a treat to arrive home from some grocery shopping to find the real delight I want to consume forthwith........
  4. I agree. Your post made me recall that when I looked up the info on my own copy a few years ago, I came across the entry for the 1969 version. I've not even seen a photo of it, so I too am dubious, but figured the info was worth passing on since it was found in a book of renowned, if you will!
  5. There was only one printing of that edition of Sunpot, but there may also be a version that Bode himself issued prior to his death in another form, much like a lot of things that later got printed in more standard comic book form, but I've not seen a copy first hand. I have seen many copies of the Bagginer Press or Stellar, Sunpot, which you have, and have not seen any that state, or seem like a second print. EDIT: So having gotten off my and pulled down my trusty Fogel guide, I did find that Bode self-published a version in 1969, that he signed, that predates the version shown above. So technically the Stellar edition is a 'first thus', no? And that self-published edition is quite scarce and goes for big bux by comparison......
  6. Down under, or under ground, Baby!!!
  7. I think you've nailed the correct protocol. I'd like to see your list anywhere you decide to post it. Feel free to PM me a copy or a link to one if you are so inclined.
  8. Didn't Wood also do comics adaptations of horror films in early issues of Warren's Monster World? My sense of Warren chronology fails me, but do those count?
  9. Was that Sanjulian book an actual update/revised edition or was it just a reprint of the Wow Cool book that came out a few years ago? That Illustrators Special on the Warren Spanish artists is pretty excellent too!
  10. I don't know if anybody has discussed this tasty tidbit anywhere, but at the risk of interrupting a quite fascinating stream of consciousness and enlightening discussion, this mag landed in my mailbox today after a lengthy wait. It actually seems worth it! Seems like as good a place as any for a mention, no? Figured you guys were keen, but just in case....it's out there!!!!
  11. Glad I got to meet her a few years ago when she was on tour for her Love That Bunch collection. She signed many of my books including Power Pak, but the best was she at first wouldn't sign my custom bind of my complete Zap run. She said she didn't sign stuff for her husband! I had to remind her that she was indeed in an issue, #16, and was thus the only female to appear in Zap! She then happily relented, signed it, and offered to take the book back to France to have Robert add his autograph, as she noticed his was the only signature missing. That didn't happen but I always smile when perusing the book, and I think of her offer! RIP The Bunch!!!
  12. Didn't realize until now that the logo had multiple variations! I have this delight hanging in my living room in all it's glory! Maybe I can track down the fellow who painted it and get it's 'twin' done, as seen in the above posts!
  13. Bijou looks like a first and Color is pretty uncommon these days. Blue can Facts O' Life is a first! A nice batch of comix to be sure! Were they sold at cover price? Didja get a good deal on the lot? The Hot Wheels is nifty, too! Looks to be a fine score!!!
  14. Due to my National Lampoon addiction, I have these three collected editions of some stellar and classic Jones work, and a few copies of Spasm to boot! And if you can find a copy, Yesterday's Lily is a gem!!!
  15. That's a comic where I probably should get my copy slabbed since I have reprints I can thumb through when needed. Thanks for the reminder and nice copy!
