  1. I recall there being a non-existent price variant for Cheech/Schizophrenia but not for the pictured Cheech Wizard. Drove me crazy trying to find that one!
  2. Has to do with the indicia found inside. I forget the details but it may involve black on white, or vice versa, and either a phone number or zip code being present. Everything else is the same on the Co. and Sons 50 cent printing.
  3. CGC wouldn't slab my Adventures Of Black Eldridge as they said it was too much like an ashcan and could be easily counterfeited, but that was around a decade ago. Think I should try it again?
  4. I want to hear more about Cerebus, the fakes that aren't #1, and why there is interest in the series now!
  5. That is indeed a wild guess...that is absolutely correct! Also, only solo Wallace Wood Pussycat story that was retouched when reprinted in the Pussycat compilation 3 years later. Also, technically, her origin. I consider it a Marvel key yet to enter the canon, but give it time!!!
  6. Looks like somebody or a library had it custom bound. Was not sold that way! I still am intrigued, as I love custom bound books and collections of comics. That one is kind of generic and sorta ugly, though! Might have even been somebody learning the craft and using the Warren book as a practice bind! EDIT: Guess I should have read the description instead of going by the pictures, before making my original post! Sorry to restate the obvious!
  7. If I had one I'd probably slab it, as I do have the reprint set that I could look at. Maybe L Ludwig did too!
  8. $19,200 is a princely sum, indeed! Seems much scarcer than a Plymell Zap, so obviously the Crumb provenance played a major role! Got the other issues to go with the Foo! #1? Congrats!
  9. Last SDCC I went to was 2000. so I must answer "NO"!
  10. Still looking for the DOPE T-shirt, but it aFrppears I've managed to track down the rest of the SDCC 2019 Freak Brothers swag, unless someone here knows about more???
  11. Nice! I have 4 Grimwit #1's currently, but none are the Last Gasp 2nd prints! Maybe I should keep an eye out!
  12. My favorite of all of them, and it's by Kurtzman, to boot!!!
  13. RIP Larry Flynt Weird timing, as mentioned in another thread, I finally found the elusive second volume of Honey, published by the late pornographer! He published all kinds of other comics too....but as a fan of the rivals of Annie Fanny, these hold a special place in my collection!!!!
  14. Here is a t-shirt design he did for a local video store back in the 80's. Sadly I can't wear it anymore, but it's still a seldom seen design and part of my collection! and my HC copy of Complete Checkered Demon with a personal inscription:
  15. A grail no longer!!! And this one finally has her companion volume!!!
  16. Talk about Ripley's.....was perusing an old fanzine dedicated to Warren mags about an hour before seeing your post. It's titled Spooky, Vol. 2 Number 2, and in it is an interview with Mr. Cuti, who I had not thought about for years! Sorry to read of his passing! Not sure what this all means, but it's interesting, to be sure! Thanks for passing that along!
  17. Forgot about 'them', but I agree wholeheartedly, Bro J!
  18. Here's one you might not look at twice, but it's possibly one of the most important magazines related to comic books! Not quite 100 years old, but a youthful 78. From the Summer of 1942...
  19. Found my copy at a library 25 cent sale about a year ago. Never would have guessed anybody was really looking for a copy!
