  1. Only a person_having_a_hard_time_understanding_my_point would sell a book as sweet as that Flash 141... Think this comprises most of Tim's Western Penn Flash Run: 126 9.4 OW 127 9.0 OW 129 9.4 OW 133 9.4 OW 134 9.4 OW 137 9.4 OW/W 138 9.6 W 139 9.6 W 140 9.6 OW/W 141 9.6 OW/W 142 9.6 OW/OW 145 9.8 OW 146 9.4 OW 147 9.6 OW 148 9.8 OW 149 9.8 OW 150 9.6 OW/W
  2. Showcase 22 money is moving to BB 28.
  3. Just think how cool it would have been if Raboy made some Superman covers, those books would be off the charts. Here's a different version of the same book -
  4. it's called the Gator Express Don't worry Atoms are next .
  5. Way too much in my opinion. Especially for this copy with C/OW and the chip out of the book which occurred post grading (is it still a 9.0 ?). Feels like speculator central to me.
  6. Adam Strange is the king. And that is a great looking copy.
  7. This is a great series. Usually read the more serious Vertigo stuff and wasn't sure I'd enjoy this but thanks to you guys gave it a try. Glad I did !
  8. Wow what a beautiful copy. Its great to see this book with a white cover !
  9. I think GAtor has done fine selling Showcase 22s.
  10. I was the underbidder and didnt want to crack the 8K mark for the book. Long term just dont think the book is all that important to be worth whatever prices its currently getting. Still cant believe whoever has that 9.2 copy on Clink didnt take that 5K bid. If the series seems soft now cant wait to see how prices are after the movie comes out next year.
  11. Am I allowed to like Neil and Showcases ?!
  12. I like Green Lantern and Showcases. Almost as much as you do. Ok maybe not.
  13. Ive seen copies sell in 7.5 (including the one I had a couple years back). I have yet to see an 8.0 or higher up for sale publically in probably the last 6 years besides the 9.4 that sold when Rogovin let go of his 9.0 22/9.4 23/9.0 24 in 07.
  14. The 9.2 up again has "professional" CT on it, but yeah someone took a swipe at it and came away empty trying to unrestore the book. Oh the games we play collecting comics.
  15. oh to wish I went harder after Tim's WP BB 34, absolutely beautiful....
  16. Gator has a 7.5 with OW with 750..... I think the upshot is that you should wait for the hype to die down and save yourself some cash.
  17. Are there any particular grades to aim for or is it not all that important? um. highest grade possible without overpaying. OK. So, say I want GL 7. We established earlier that raw prices for 6.0 are usually $100. Given the current boom in prices, what price would be overpaying for this grade? price for a raw 6.0 is $100 ? No, what Gator said is that right now its around $100 a grade point, so $600 (he mentioned CGC graded copies also). Obviously the higher up you go the rarer the book gets as it is an early 60s DC and that formula probably stops working once you get to the 7.0 and up range. Long term I dont think this book is a big enough key that in 6.0 it should be selling for that much but who knows, maybe the GL movie will just explode.
  18. Are there any particular grades to aim for or is it not all that important? um. highest grade possible without overpaying.
  19. I agree the other copy looked nicer, whats with the top edge of this one ? Looks like the book got flattened inside the slab all crooked.
  20. If I am correct another board member has the Oakland copy of HOM 179 (same person who had the Oakland 175). Beautiful copy. I haven't heard of many multiple Oakland's either so I'm not sure however, maybe one of them isn't.
