  1. That's an awesome 140 KJ!!! I remember you showing us your Showcase book a while ago, please share it again when you can. (i'm kinda thinking about getting into the Showcase game too so any input or advise will be greatly appreciated!!!) 105-140 is a great run, do you have them all?! And I have a feeling the further along we go, this page#/issue# thing will become a side note, but its been a lot of fun so far and its kind of shamed me into buying 2 books earlier than I probably would have so that's a good thing OK all you awesome Rouge's Fans let's see whatcha got! Tell us about 140, this duo and if you had to cosplay who would you be? Heat Wave or Capt. Cold?
  2. I was wrong Its a modern invention possibly 2000's but we still need a Flash'storian to pin it down for us. Any professors of Zoomology out there that can answer this question?
  3. On a side note my 137 should be in tomorrow. I can't wait to see it and share it with all you Flash fans!
  4. Let's do some research on this team Flash and see if we can't find out when the emblem was finally reversed. I'm going to guess it happened in the 80's.
  5. It was just the perfect vehicle for John Broome to stretch his SiFi legs and run with it (at super speed!). Zoom and Abra Kadabra the magician from the future, perfect vehicles for those kinds of stories. And you can tell he enjoyed writing them!
  6. Yes, it pushed it right out of my price range! (for now anyway) I'll get it eventually. This year i'll have to settle for a 147. I love what the writers on the show did with that character. It really got the show off to a good start. Great mid grade copy there Terry! I'll probably end up with a 2.0, but you know i'll love it just the same
  7. Must be that thin, dry Australian air Terry? .50 cents to 1.50 seems low even for the early 80's!? But maybe its about right, new Flashes in the early 80's were about .60 I believe. I honestly don't remember what I was paying for the lesser back issues. I remember buying my 106 for $60 and I believe my 108 and 112 were about $10 ea. or so. Love the stories about the old comic book stores! You don't by any chance have a 139 kicking around the house do you?.
  8. Very nice collection there BB-Gun!!!
  9. Ahhh, whats so special indeed?! You shall soon find out, stay tuned Flash fan as I believe this is the last post for page 138!
  10. We are getting really close to page 139 Flash Fans! I can't wait to see what you guys got! I may not get this issue for another year or two because I'm saving and going after a 106 next year. (I'm on a one key a year diet, this year it was the 105 obviously) I love 139 but will have to wait. I hope to have a 147 this year if the price is right. Hopefully before we get to page 147!
  11. This cover is probably my favorite SA Flash cover right now and has been for the last few years! I love the team-up and of course the UFO, just awesome pop art going on there!
  12. Nice book there! Great, bright colors!
  13. I was hoping one of you might have this gem in your collection. I had to part with it years ago and it must be slabbed by now. I'm curious as what grade it got. Beautiful white pages. It's identifying marks, the black streak of ink from the press (I believe) URHC, two tiny tears top center and middle reading edge and the tiny, tiny bit of the LRHC missing.
  14. I loved KJ's idea of first and last! If you have both copies, share a photo!
  15. What did I miss? Its hard to judge only seeing the front. Were there PQ issues? Stain on the back? Maybe some spine ticks/stress that would not be as visible in the yellow printed area.
  16. Looks like it came back a 7.0. Still very, very nice!
  17. Nice pair! And I mean that in the most tasteful way, of course! Wow, what did that top one get? Lets see if I can guess with out looking back...It looks like it may be a 9.0 to me? (Ok now let me go back and see)
  18. And we are now on page 138! Pied Pipers Double Horn of Doom!
  19. Great photo there KJ!!! Love that 105 of yours, at one point I was going to try and make you an offer on it I believe? (Like you would ever part with it!) I'm happy to say this year I finally got a 105 of my own. Just out of curiosity do you have everything in between, or are you still missing some like me?
  20. And this just in...My friend from the boards here has been keeping an eye out for me in Michigan, helping me fill in some of my big holes in the 300's. This beautiful #347 just arrived! So with this one and the 137 on the way, I think i'm down to just 47 issues left to complete the run!!! Included is the ebay photo of the 137, its blurry but I got a good price on it. You know me, condition is not too important to me at the moment. Its my lot in life to rescue these wayward, lost and abused Flashes and make sure they end up in a good Flashy home and reunited with all their buddies.
  21. I just put an ebay offer in on a 137. Lets see if I can make a deal before we finish the page. Any more 137's out there? 137 going once...going twice... 15 min later (edit)-- just so I don't take away another post for anyone trying to share their 137 with us. My offer was accepted and I now have a 137 on the way Flash Fans!!! Just 4 posts left for 137. Git 'yer 138's ready and that scanner all warmed up. We're 'bout to turn the page!
  22. Nice haul there, I would have bid on that lot too, don't blame you at all!!! I think that's one of the few Neal Adams covers tucked away in there? #195?!
  23. Love the Golden Age! But for now I'm focused on completing the S.A. collection. After that he he he I plan on going after some G.A. I know realistically I wont be able to complete a G.A. collection but... I will not consider my Flash collection complete without getting back the few G.A. I have had to sell over the years. When I sold my first Flash collection in the 1980's I had to let go of a #39 and #51. In the early 2000's I had to let go of a #86 and a #77 and my dream book (besides a #1 ) Is a #10. I would also love, love, love to own a #103 one of the last issues where John Broome and Carmine teamed up to create one the last of the G.A. Flash stories "The Sword of Time" They probably had no idea that 10 years later they'd be working together for years on the new Flash!
  24. Looking at 3 on ebay right now but MCS has been my go to for years.
  25. My Comic Shop just closed 'til at least 4/30 they said! Just as I was about to buy a 137! And flirting with the idea of getting a SC#13 too! I was so looking forward to doing some shopping online at least while this thing is going on! Now what are we going to do Flash Fans?! They've stopped the presses for new comics, all my LCS's are closed and now we can't even shop online?
