  1. If there's anyone out there who can give me some tips on scanning please PM me. For some reason this chat board won't accept my jpg files. Its kinda driving me crazy! Thanks, your pal Flashlites
  2. I always loved that purple cover! I had a nice copy in the 80's (not as nice as these amazing specimens!) but my current collection I've had to settle for a copy that has faded. I am glad to have one again but looking at it and remembering what I had leaves me feeling a bit unsatisfied. Seeing these wonderful examples is great. If you ever decide to throw out one or the other I'd take either no questions asked
  3. Some photos and run down from last night's comic book club meeting. It was Flash night. Guess who brought the goodies😀? I picked out 3 books from each decade for the retrospective. Tons of fun for a Flash fan! We watched Flashpoint, and I gave a presentation for an audience who for the most part are Marvel fans. A chance for them to see something new. The multi-verse concept was discussed quite a bit. Sadly I did not have a 123 to show them. (One day I hope soon, I will have one) in one of the photos you can see my coverless 107 peaking out in the 1950's group. I even brought out 'grandpa' my Flash #3 for a rare appearence!
  4. Love those Grodd covers too. Did someone say only 3 Grodd covers in the silver age? I will have to check that.
  5. Cool book! Check out that vintage CGC label too! (Marvel Tales #3)
  6. 2.5-3.0 I believe. If the cover was attached I believe it would be a 4.0 but that defect brings it down to the 3.0 range. IMO. Cool book, thanks for sharing!
  7. Here's my beloved 107. Not much to look at, but I am very grateful to have one at all. I often thought this splash page would have made a much better cover. Come on wouldn't you have rather seen Grodd on the cover than that guy racing the Flash backwards!!??
  8. Bob your 107 looks amazing!!! Thanks again for sharing it. You are indeed a most Fortunate Flash Fan!!!
  9. I believe 8.5 is the highest grade we've seen for 106. Obviously this book is very scarce in high grade. These 2 8.5's may be the highest in the CGC??
  10. My guess would be 3.5-4.0, (with the GA bump it may get a CGC 5.0? ) But I feel comfortable at 4.0.
  11. I agree, as long as its complete it can get a 1.0 or even 1.5 There is a book in the grading guide that looks worse and was graded at 1.5.
  12. We're getting close to page 107 Flash Fans! Get your 107's ready!
  13. I thought if the clipped coupon did not interrupt the story it could still get a 1.0 or 1.5? No?
  14. Love that 106 & 108 bighaley! They look to be in amazing shape! Thanks for sharing😀 as for Adams .5 I hope I will be lucky enough to find one like that, one I can actually afford! When your on a budget and looking for key books it almost seems more difficult to come across a key in that condition when you have the money to spend. All the stars have to line up just right. Maybe this year will be the year. If you ever want to sell it Adam let me know
  15. 105 8.0 and 106 8.5!!!??? Amazing Bill!!! Thank you so much for sharing these beauties. You are a fortunate Flash Fan indeed!
  16. Ahhhhhh! (The comic book angels are singing) Amazing copy!!!! Go over to the Flash Collectors thread and post it for us on page 106!
  17. Is this the GA bump? About one full point, right? Still its a beautiful copy, I'd love to have it in my collection!
  18. I think I was 12 or 13 when I bought my 106. I bought it Ed Earler's monthly comic book swap meet in Albuquerque. It would probably grade a 3-4.0 today. It was $60 as I recall. A huge sum in those days! 😄 I was thrilled to have it! I had been eyeing it for months, hoping no one would buy it before me. The way things were in those days I still had not even seen a 105. I had no idea what it even looked like. But I knew I wanted one😀
  19. 8.0!!! Very impressive!!! These early books are so rare in these higher grades! Please join us on the Flash collectors thread. We are on 106 now. We'd love to see what you have to share!
  20. KJ this 106 is so very special, with Joe's signature on it. Thank you so much for sharing it again!!!
  21. This is an beautiful copy Bob! Thanks for sharing
  22. We've arrived at page 106 Flash Fans! I remember in the late 70's early 80's that 106 was listed as scarce. Is that still true? I have not owned one since 1988.
  23. Grodd did make the splash page for 107 though 😀!
