Hey when you've got to have an Iron Man 1 to complete your collection, finding one in this condition is a God send! (When your on a budget like me😀). That being said it's heart wrenching to see! It was best to leave those subscription labels attached. I believe it would be a 1.5.

Marvel 'chipping' as its been explained to me was caused by dull paper cutters during the triming of the comics in the production process. This photo does not look like that to me. It looks like it may be damage from tape, if all the color is pulled off the cover. Are there old peices of tape on that book? Amateur tape repairs can bring the grade of a comic 1 full point or more, depending on the extent. If what's shown in the photo is the only major damage, I'd say it would impact the grade between 0.5 and 1.0 point.

We are now up to page 103 of this thread. I would like to start making plans for when we get to 105 and make it a special page! I would like to think I would have a 105 by then but it's iffy at best. So you may be called upon to share. Looking forward to it!

Is that a comic book or is it just a reproduction for the setting? I'm asking because I've always wanted to mount my Mark Wade ashcan autograph alongside the printed comic and display it that way.I wondered how they would do it. Yours is close to what I had in mind.

A pair of 123's!!!

My first Flash of 2019. Not a rare or valuable book but i'm missing most of the 300's for my collection so I was glad to pick this up. Infantino cover! So glad he was still involved with Flash right up to the end!

I believe John Broome was there that year too, or was it 1999? How amazing it would be to meet them both! I would like to hear what they had to say about creating Flash 123.

I wish it was a little more affordable. I loved this issue so much simply because it brought my favorite golden age character back from oblivion. Before the significance of the multi-verse part of that story, having the issue where Jay Gerrick returned was a must for my collection. In the 90's while making a second attempt to complete the run I came across one in North Hollywood. It was probably a 7-8, beautiful copy! Wait for it....as I recall it was about $80-100 bucks!! Of course I bought it and was thrilled to finally have one. About a year or so later I came across another one, about a 3.0-4.0 I bought it as a reading copy😄 for about...wait for it...$30-40 bucks!!! Unfortunately I had to sell both of them with most of my SA collection in 2000. This will be the year I finally get one for my current collection!

One of my all time faves! Such a cool statue! I would love to help start this 123 dialog. Its been years since I owned one and im hoping i will get one this year. How do you all feel about its current value? Overpriced, underpriced? MCS had about 8 for sale last week.

I've been collecting off and on for more than 40 years. In that time I've been trying to complete the Flash run 105-350. Having to sell 2 incomplete collections along the way. I just found this site this year too. Its been very helpful and I've enjoyed it immensely! I am closer than ever now to completing the collection. Your grandfather's collection sounds amazing! Please share more when you can. As for saying you'll never be able to complete a run...I would encourage you to follow your passion. I still believe...just about 78 books to go!
