  1. I believe the tan/brown pages would hold it back a bit. I'd say if it were pressed and cleaned it could get to a 3/3.5.
  2. I love this comic! One of my SA favorites. Kid Flash still in his orig. costume. 2.0 is my thought on the grade. I had an amazing copy in the 90's but had to sell it. Recently bought one in about the same shape as yours. I was so happy to have #120 back in my collection. Enjoy it!
  3. It is an awesome book, now I'm thinking I need to get one, especially with that welcome to Oakland sign!!! I lived in Oakland for many years. If I were grading them (just me here) I give "A" a 9.8 and "B" 9.6. Because "B" looks like it may have some spine wear on the top. Keep in mind both books have a ever so slight bottom left corner issue where the book was trimmed at the bindery.
  4. I agree with not a clone. I'd question my motives for submitting the book, because its just too close to call. Either one could come back as 9.6 or 9.4 even and what would that mean to you. If you just want to seal and preserve the book then the grade won't matter. If your looking for something else it will be a gamble. Just my 2 cents. Lets hear what a more experienced boardie has to say.
  5. 250th post---heres#250 from the Flash vaults! How about that Golden Glider!
  6. You took it out of a CGC case!? Do tell more... I'm new to the CGC and have yet to send a book off ( I suffer from postal anxiety). Before I'd heard of the CGC I bought a book some years ago that had a CGC label behind the backing board. Apparently some do "crack them open"?
  7. This books looks amazing for a GA book!!! I don't have any books from that era in this condition. I'd say it would get an 8.0. Are you sending to the CGC? Let us know.
  8. I'd say 8 it looks to be in great shape! Only the miswrap of the cover.
  9. I'd say 4.5 but with the GA bump it could go as high as 5.5? Honestly though I believe its at 4.5.
  10. I believe its in the 6-7 range. Its a little hard to tell. I have a feeling the camera is not being kind to this comic. The back cover looks flawless!! What looks like wear on the spine might just be glare.
  11. Love those 40's Capt. Marvels! Remember Millie from the grading contest last month? With the GA bump it may get a 6.0!? However it's more likely in the 4-5.0 range.
  12. All I can say is wow!!! And its nice to know that with all the hoopla of SDCC that it's still about the comics. Thanks for sharing!!!
  13. I would appreciate a second opinion to calibrate with my thinking. Its a square bound with some wear and the back cover is discolored, some soiling. Thanks!
  14. Does anyone out there know more about John Broome? Did he ever write any more after "the bride cast two shadows"? (Flash 194) Did he ever write any Sci Fi novels?
