  1. Barrucci? He has been collecting oa long before us… and buying from Spencer just as long so always gets the inside track.
  2. I’ll play along… I post most everything so this was a tough one for me… but I bought this from a pretty black hole collections couple months ago and haven’t posted it anywhere yet Brent Anderson and Bob Wiacek from uncanny X-men 160 the issue where illyana gets aged and powered up to the Magic we all know and love! couple things I love about this page Belasco breaking the forth wall calling Illyana and of course a fastball special!
  3. Michael- if there is ever something you need and it falls in my wheelhouse feel free to reach out … we can always have a convo about me stepping aside!
  4. You win some and you lose some., I’m sure you’ve had some wins from your friends help too.
  5. There was some back door gamesmanship on this one,,, it would have went higher for a fact if some favors were not done amongst friends so it could be United with the page before it , OA politics at its best! Lol (it wasn’t me who got it fyi)
  6. Agree- I was sitting there watching it going should I just throw a bid on it… nah it will never stay that low.. and there it was. I hope a collector got it but somehow think it winds up on a dealer site.
  7. Well… that was a fizzle.. someone got some deals…
  8. Great time… the dealers had what they have but there was lots of great stuff walking around the room with collectors, I picked up a couple awesome pages. The best part for mr is always hanging out with the collectors friends you knew before and the new ones you meet, My new pieces
  9. I know some people are coming in for NJ art Con Sunday… so Anthony Snyder decided to have a get together at his warehouse the day before. Announced it to his mailing list and on DD last night. Said he will be providing booze and food if anyone is interested. I’m local so I’ll be there for a bit at least. should be fun
  10. I think clan McDonald had a live show with Spencer too … I can say I was definitively divided attention and money across all the stuff going on last night - so divided I bid to late on the hulk McFarlane on a snipe and missed it!
  11. Well thank you! I think you said you are going to nj art con this week if so grab me and I’ll thank you in person! Lol
  12. Cool- I got the 206 page, whoever submitted them in the last couple clinks probably should have asked for them to be spread out more.
  13. Up and down. I grabbed a jrjr I’m pretty happy with and the lee X-men seemed light. But a lot of strong numbers too
  14. Ask Anthony Snyder I bet he will if someone asks
  15. For that price it should come with booze instead of juice! congrats Bob!
  16. Just posted this one on caf- I could not be happier with how it turned out. I asked Eranga Devasurendra to reimagine the original X-men inferno ad from back in the day.. and he created this DPS beauty! If you haven’t checked out Erangas art you are missing out ! https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1896615
  17. I agree with a lot of what you say- but there are still gems out there with distinctive styles I really appreciate . a couple that come to mind you should check out if you haven’t . Josh Cassara Declan Shalvey Robert Gill off the top of my head:
  18. Definitely an interesting topic over all… but this one to me is even more so… as there were 50 or so artists involved and a good amount were known for selling there art..
  19. Yea- pre dates it. From what I have researched I’m pretty sure it is the second time he drew a published wolverine. Only thing I can find earlier was a couple panels in costume in the 1st issue of the magic mini series
  20. Hahhaha- ok… I can’t wait to show it. Pg 3 John Buscema and Klaus Janson. Written by Stan Lee. story time… I had to go pick up something I had bought from Essential Sequential. Jason and I are friends so we were Bsing and Klaus had just sent him a ton of pages for him to archive and possibly sell. So he let me start thumbing through them. There was probably 1000 pages… so I’m going through stuff from the 70s until now in no order whatsoever…. And there it was! A couple messages back and forth with Klaus and we made a deal!
  21. Hi Brian Good Info! I always find it interesting that these guys still have random pages 3 plus decades later! That's where mine is coming from too,
  22. When I was a boy back in 85... I got my hands on a copy of Heroes for Hope with the X-men. I was already a growing x-fan but that book was kind of mind blowing. The art adams cover was always the reason I thought it stuck so much. But as I got older I realized it is actually because it was my first exposure to so many great artists of the time. If you do not remember the book... it was a fundraiser , and a jam book... each artist writer and inker did only a couple of pages. The list of people who worked on it is incredible (see below) ! I have actually carried a copy around for years getting creators to sign it. Since I now collect original art I have wondered for a while where all the art for this book is??? I searched CAF and there are only 2 pages shown... and even on the HA archives there is only one for sure .. and some pencil only Frank Miller pages, which I am not sue why they were not inked. So where is all the art for this incredible book???? SPOILER- I was able to pick up a page recently and I will show it and tell the story on how it came about in a post in a bit.. but right now I would love to see what you may have or hear the theories from the people who have been doing this a lot longer then me!
