  1. Wonder Woman #108 August 1959 I love this issue on several levels. The 'caught in the headlights' shot is classic. The reinterpretation of the shot is not only done on the splash page, but in the story. The story line has been used before, but not to perfection as it is done here. The postage stamp backup story has a 2017 tie-in. You will have to read the rest of the story to figure out how Wonder Woman saves Earth. Anyone else but me buy a set of these postage stamps?
  2. Ask Gator . . . What's your opinion of Ditko supernatural work with Charleton? Doesn't seem to be any collector interest. I've been revisiting his work with Ghostly Tales thru the 70's. He's dedication to his art maintained a high quality.
  3. With respects to, 'This has to get fixed at the server', are you referring to the Photobucket server, or the CGC Board server?
  4. Attempted PB html converted to BBCode, using http://www.seabreezecomputers.com/html2bbcode/ Same results.
  5. Wonder Woman #107 July 1959 Feature story explains how Wonder Girl earned her costume.
  6. C-M_A articulates what I would assume nearly everyone here would agree with. Fortunately, the mental illness that is Social Justice Warriors hasn't tainted the water supply amongst us into believing we are perpatrators of whitesplaining or enablers of cultural appropriation.
  7. Wonder Woman #106 May 1959 Popular theme was olympic events to save humanity against overwhelming odds. This story line was used countless times for good effect. Giant bird talons was a crowd pleaser. The Wonder Girl stories showed promise as a backup feature.
  8. Your cry in the wilderness went unheard. But I'm listening now. What's hot six months from now?
  9. After 12 years of participating on the GOLD forums, I feel my time has come to 'Go big' with this auction. Patiently, awaiting the posting of items in the collection.
  10. For Flash Comics collectors, this is #1 on the hardest to find list.
  11. Wonder Woman #105 April 1959 The Silver Age retelling of Wonder Woman's origin fits nicely within the other issues of the late 50s.
  12. $6300 This was the only item I was watching in this auction. I thought it was nuts when it was in a holding pattern at $4500 before the sniper fire .
  13. I had formatting html issues with photo bucket. I think I've worked thru.
  14. Wonder Woman 104 February 1959 The baby boomer generation that began in 1946 was turning 13 years old. That demoographic shift started to have an effect on the quality of comics DC was releasing.
  15. Wonder Woman #103 January 1959 Instead of 'Box of the 3 Dooms', story should have followed what happens at 'Lookout Point'. 1 of the Dooms in the box:
  16. Great observation! I do like the hippy-greasy hair.
  17. Having survived the market reset of 2009-10 and fallout on these very boards , I reflexively hit the 'Page Down" key when comic book collectors give themselves honorary Economics degrees and share their haruspex wisdom. With respects to motives to sell, collecting for over 40 years is approaching an expiration date. Jon Berk talks about his collection back on 09/15/04 within this board.
  18. Wonder Woman #102 November 1958 Continuing with the SA mythos of love\marriage, fantasy\adventure, multiple WWs, and olympian feats of valor. No big bird talons this issue.
  19. Yeah, kinda odd. I guess when your target audience is about 12, 22 is 'old'.
  20. +1 on the DBH assessment. With respects to the topic. over the years I've became a buy-and-hold collector.
  21. Wonder Woman #101 October 1958 Although I haven't rated any of these issues, this issue would get high marks for art and story. Pure SA fantasy at its best! First story: "Undersea Trap!" Second Story: "Fun House of Time!"
  22. Great! Thanks for the tip. IPB works for me.
