Just an update...I know some of you are curious. I went through the collection, and I pulled all of the better books, and submitted them to CGC for pressing and grading. These books have now all been pressed, graded/slabbed, and sent to Texas to sell. It was expensive and took months, but I have made way more than it cost to cover the fees. For the copies submitted for grading, 9.8 W is the most common followed by 9.6 W and 9.4 W. Very few rejects below 9.2. Those buying from my collection are getting topnotch, NM and above copies as stated in my thread.
The remaining books are up for sale in my current thread, with all proceeds (less postage) going to charity (Food For The Poor). "We've" made $1,685 for FFTP so far.
I went from a little under 2,000 comics to a little over 1,000 remaining, and I'm still selling them to clear them out and to make money for FFTP.
I'll provide an update later on, but I am very happy with how the process has gone for me. I'm making good money on the graded books for my family, and I'm moving the lesser books to collectors at bargain prices while helping the poor in Central and South America. It's Win, Win, Win!
