  1. I have 'a lot' of the NYCC copies and every last copy has bindery tears. If it is production related and all copies are like that CGC will have to take it into account. The RRP is the same way... As far as 1/2" tears, probably closer to 1/8-1/4" which is typical for bindery... Reminds me of the 80s
  2. If you are talking about the spine, those are bindery tears and are on all copies so will not or should not affect grades
  3. Random thoughts... Larry has stated 1000, clearly that appears to be the # from all that has been gathered, regardless of what was first thought in print and from all online sources, including NYCCs own Exclusives Page (from which information is provided by the publisher)... So let's say there are 1000, and 500 were sold out at NYCC (which they were). I know of 2 people that bought 75 alone of those 500 and 3 others that bought 50 of them, so 300 gone before the 1st hour of the show was done. Some of those people are holding right now and some of those books (clearly) have been already sold right here on the boards. And those are just the people I know of! 500 copies (if the math is correct) that will be distributed through Diamond Comics...Allocations may occur? Pretty sure that is going to happen. Don't expect to order it and get it. If you do, great! But a pretty limited amount to satisfy the masses across the country and the world. Not sure how many LCS' there are, but I would have to think you are looking at an average of a little under 1 per shop if all ordered?
  4. Love the Market Reports... My new tag line for it is: Speculation turned into Real Information
  5. This just in... Catwoman 13... Worst Tie-in ever... Red Hood has more to do with the crossover with 1 page
  6. I bought the first appearance page of Madder Red (page 3)... Just lovely...
  7. I read the first issue while I was at NYCC... Background... I used to sell for Riley a few years ago and love his art. I like Nick Spencer and combined it just looked like a winner to me... Then I read the first issue... Loved it. I am a huge Grendel fan (named my son Hunter if that is any indication...nerd alert) and felt this story is what happens when a combination of the Joker and Grendel are combined and then what happens after rehabilitation. I don't want to spoil anything, but it left me wanting more. The first issue was long, lots of pages for the price and the coloring was superb with a mix of red, black, white and gray tones. Lovely. I think the hype is worth it and think it is going to be a fantastic read from all indications... JJ
  8. Just named the new kitten from the Humane Society... Michonne... That's how the Jdizzle rolls...
  9. There are going to be Awesome Comics and CBLDF remarked covers available soon as well as a couple sketch covers on blanks. Mike was great to work with and just a wonderful guy!!!
  10. Luther Strode, Saga and Revival had me at 'hello' I think those have been and are 3 of my favorite new reads coming from Image.
  11. A rare book, given out by the Star War Fan Club to celebrate the ESB anniversary... Signed by David Prowse and Anthony Daniels. Hoping to add William Shakespeare eventually...
  12. A rarity... Mike Ploog Ghost Rider on FF Blank (FF blank because...he was a member of the classic Wolverine/Hulk/Spidey/Ghost Rider FF group!) Looking to trade for other legends, or well established creators (J. Scott Campbell, Cheung, etc etc). JJ
  13. Dre truly gave everyone a nugget. Nothing more. He sells comics but is not a speculator by trade. He often subs what he needs for his customers and treats them very well. Maybe some didn't like they way it comes across but he is really trying to give some insight without fully tipping his cap. Sad to see some of you attack what other people think of him. What do you have to gain except look like a tool to long standing and well respected board members?
  14. Sadly the same thing happened to me. Abdul has always been great to work with but after agreeing to purchase roughly $2500 worth of books he is now unable to due to a medical emergency in his immediate family. I hope everything works out for him.
  15. I am on a Charleston Chew kick lately and love me some Starbursts at all times... Just as a heads up for rumors etc... I just took my Walking Dead 19 OA Cover Art off of Clink. My contract was up at the end of August and think framing it and displaying it seems to be in order! JJ
  16. I can't wait to see a Pirate one Maybe I'll be making 2 shirts for CCE this year!!!
