So I was behind 2 episodes (can't believe that) and purposely stayed out of this thread Now that I am caught up... The death of Dale was a great way to release him from the show. In the end Dale represented civilization or the previous version of civilization and the inability to adapt to the new form. His death to me was a metaphor for that. Civilization as we know it is dead...and so is Dale. Well done by the writers and kept all of us guessing (I kept thinking they were killing Carl!)

I am adding some newstand variants of this to my sales thread (the Jedi book) and have been watching the market also. Pretty fun stuff and a good way to see what books are really selling for! Hope to see you at KC con!!! JJ

That 200 copy number doesn't jive with the press release that indicates there are 5000 copies of the image expo b/w cover. http://www.walkingdeadforums.com/forum/showthread.php/1660-Walking-Dead-94-Image-Comic-Con-Variant-cover!! 200 for BW is confirmed. Was confirmed by the promoter (a good friend of mine) and the number was 200 or less. No more made. Period.

you can't compare Fatale to Criminal just because they have the same artist/writer...Fatale has a horror theme and there are tons of horror/cthulhu/lovecraft/poe fans out there...that's a whole different ball game than a straight crime comic. And to okay devil's advocate... You can compare... Criminal did have the same artist/writer and plenty of people love crime theme books/movies/comics. Not taking anything away from Fatale, I hope it is a huge hit going forward! With some of you backing it (like Branget did with Chew) it is possible it could be a very strong book investment wise.

The whole WD 19 market has me looking closer and closer into it. Odd sales all around the past few months...

That was a blip IMO on Uncharted and looks to be a variant cover? You can buy them for $7.95 or best offer and previous copies sold for less then cover... Love the game, would buy the comic for cover, but not buying anything beyond a blip on that one...

I have a 9 year old so I can indulge and sit and enjoy it We grew out of Dora really fast thankfully for me. I think a lot of these cartoons have their place and wonderful to see their taste in shows evolve... Personally besides maybe Childrens Hospital and Venture Bros. I find shows like Mad, Adventure Time & Regular Show much more entertaining and clever then talking fast food products or squids that are hillbillies...

And this is the fun of it... I would take 100 Adventure Times over 100 Fatales easy. But again, that's just me... I think if a person can make money on Fatale or Adventure Time now, do it. Hang on to some, but get that initial investment back whenever you can and the rest is gravy!

That's it! Plus they have some show variants coming up and I thought I might try a put a full set together for fun. Millions watch the show and the line for the tiny figure that was free at NYCC was outrageous, along with the life size Jake the Dog people were going nuts... If just a small percentage of those millions get interested, it becomes a solid book.

Absolutely could be! I could be wrong and it will be interesting to see that is for sure. To me that is part of the hobby I enjoy and it helps to hone the skills for future investment books. I have missed on a few and done well on many and those that I missed on...I never saw coming

Everyone, everyone calm down... You are all buying the wrong books anyways. You should be happy the LCS owner is saving you money on investment books kidding... I have to say though, baffled at the Fatale interest from many of you. Great book, yes. But for those that have read Criminal and Sleeper, this is the same type of book and writer/artist. Both are critically acclaimed, and did not explode on the market. The trend shows me this is a great read, but from an investment point not going to make me a profit beyond the short term (which is how the market has been working on many books from Image especially beyond Walking Dead, Chew and Nonplayer as a fringe book). If you think doubling your money or making $5 over cover is a good return, then we are not in the same ballpark as to what I consider a return on my investment (to each their own). I would be happy to sell anyone my 9.8 #1 which is coming home to papa very soon. This doesn't pass my test, but does as a good read. The ever lovin blue eyed JJ PS I bought a book today that I think could be a decent investment book, but didn't go crazy on it, not Thief of Thieves either, although I think that could do well. Who can guess it right? Pirate's post doesn't count.
