  1. S2 Teaser Trailer... (S1 recap + S2 Punisher hint)
  2. A Christmas time shout out to the greatest toy in the history of all toys ever. The Monkey Helmet. Would've wore it to school if they'd have let me. It was meant to be military, but if you put it on it was instant Spaceman Spiff mode. Imagination the only limit. Plus all the super cool Remco Monkey Division guns. Best. Toys. Ever.
  3. No, but I do hope as Batman and Superman get to know each other their exchanges are sharp and witty. Makes it fun and humanizes them both if done right. Also, what's totally different about BvS is the timeline. Apparently Batman is old school 'golden age mystery-man' style vigilante who's been at it a while. So instead of a contemporary-friends dynamic between them Batman may try to pull seniority, talk constant smack and one-up Superman. Veteran and the noob. Except the Veteran is having his world rocked with the emergence of all these superpowered people. Plenty fun, if done right.
  4. The thing that made my heart jump was that 'winged army' flash. I thought "Holy , Parademons!!!". But a freeze-frame makes it look like part of Wayne's 'dream sequence'.
  5. The worst thing the Trailer did was break the carefully teased tension of Batman v Superman. They should've marketed the title and left Lex/Doomsday out of it for now. Let the common enemy be a surprise. That final scene visually concludes the 'title' conflict, has them standing united. Should've been saved for the theater imho.
  6. The best Lex was the Justice League cartoon Lex. +1 Clancy Brown. Best. Lex. Ever. Man, could you imagine if they'd hired C. Brown and shaved his head for the SvB Lex role? The instant publicity, the built in audience, the geek fervor? But then again, he might've stole the show as Lex. Can't have that, but man it would've been something to see. At least he got a role on The Flash.
  7. Just keep your viewing area free of pointy things. Stay safe.
  8. Very cool. Still kind of partial to the Bolland designs myself. Missed opportunity.
  9. Since they've designed Flash, Reverse-Flash and Zoom, and using a Flash action figure, you can see how EASY it would be for them to do The Atom costume too. If I had to guess... it's probably in Routh's contract we have to see his full mug while in costume. Agents, negotiations, and all that. You know, guessing.
  10. Really enjoying the Arrow/Flash universe and looking forward to Legends. But I swear I can't see Routh's Atom without seeing X O Manowar. Which is weird because I grew up with The Atom, the JLA and all that. Part of my geek-dna. It's disorienting. Every. Time. Maybe in Legends they'll super-science-micro-refine Atom's suit until it's more Flash-like, but with Atom colors. (on an upbeat note: what they've shown of the Thanagarian costumes look damn near perfect. yea! )
  11. They didn't even attempt to explain Doom. He was in another dimension for over a year. No other apparent lifeforms, no apparent way for Doom to support his life. So Doom must be some energy-eater who poops ozone. Or sucks on rocks for nutrients. Plus zero explanation of what Doom did for a year, other than wait for them to come back. Then whats he want to do? Stay there... after destroying our dimension of course. Maybe grab a magazine to take back.
  12. Watched it just to see, and being mainly a DC fan I could keep an open mind. It was weird. Like whatever it is that makes Fantastic Four fun and worth doing was stripped out. Reed ran off for a year. Ben was a Thing of few words. Sue was a humorless ice queen. And Johnny was whatever, a fiery add-on. The best part of the story was when Reed and Ben were kids. And traveling dimensions was interesting. But man, any 'group dynamic' was non-existent.
  13. Finished up and agree. There just wasn't enough there there and felt forced at times. It did redeem itself somewhat toward the end though. I suspect the 2nd season will be much, much better that this 1st one. The 1st season introduced A LOT of characters and core elements. Now with all that worldbuilding out of the way she's perfectly primed to get on with it.
  14. A comment on the Opening Title Sequence since that's been posted... Big, big fan of Opening Sequences, sort of an art form unto themselves. Daredevil is unique, Game of Thrones is genius. Anyway, Jessica Jones' didn't do much for me. Kind of clip-artsy and flat. No big deal, I can fast forward through it each episode. I'm up to ep#8 so I'll Spoiler Tag my other comment...
  15. It's too bad they didn't do an adaption of Gotham Central for tv. It was very well done and has great reviews. They could've handled Batman like they do Superman on the Supergirl show. A fleeting glimpse, shadowy exit, backlit silhouette or off-camera voice. Otherwise do Gotham as a great police procedural. A Gotham like that could play for a decade.
  16. No, but it's still a Batman story about Batman characters in Batman's city. A timeline. Gotham should film Gordon like a badazz bollywood cop. Give young Bruce something to live up to...
  17. That's the no.1 problem with Gotham for me. By the time Batman shows up he'll be just another kook in Crazytown. Makes the entire point of a Batman "striking terror" null and void. Wayne might as well go out in a bathrobe and fuzzy slippers as The Bathman. Might even be scarier.
  18. That's what I'm doing too I swear Daredevil is better the 2nd time around (if that's possible). No hype, expectations or snap-judgments this time, just pure enjoyment. Makes me glad I don't know a damn thing about Jessica Jones going in.
  19. Red Tornado looks terrible! He looks like something from the Power Rangers show. At 1st glance I thought he was one of The Metal Men. And nearly spot-on too, for live action.
  20. Time to binge-watch Daredevil a 2nd time over the next five days. Get primed for the 20th!
  21. Nope, you weren't seeing things. And I think his gym bag had that "Fair Play" logo on it. Quick scene, but pretty sure.
  22. She fancies a neck scarf and her sense of being watched is non-existent?
  23. Mr. Terrific is that lab-guy who assists Felicity at her company. I have Diggler pegged for Guardian, but that could be wrong. Guardian was more of a Cadmus agent in Young Justice. So, with Digger's wife being an agent, maybe...
  24. Not only that, I'm mainly DC but Daredevil is a favorite. I didn't/don't know the Jessica Jones character at all. Every time I came across "ALIAS" I saw an artsy cover with an undefinable female face, that "MAX Explicit Content" logo and assumed it was a mature-readers adaption of... I'd read a MAX title before and thought it was horrible (Punisher, I think). So I had no interest. And I don't remember any "heat" surrounding the title until the Netflix announcement. Now I'm really looking forward to the show, but yeah, I have no clue. Edit: In my defense I point to the ALIAS logos. Somewhat similar, with TV it's the highlighted "S", Jessica Jones it's the odball "A". So I assumed Marvel had bought the rights and resurrected the TV storyline for mature-only. A dead-wrong-but-reasonable-assumpton (so I doubt I was the only one).
