Responding to the bolded part. What is fun or not fun is subjective. It's pretty clear that a segment of the boards membership finds this place a lot less fun than it was in the past. I don't mean to be insulting but I hope the "fun metric" is not being set by you alone, or any one person.

You would not believe how vast the AdminCP is, which is what makes this forum tick. At this time, it would not be worth while to construct a whole new forum for trading cards. I just took a look. There were 15 threads that received posts in a weeks time. Okay. I was thinking of future traffic. Given the furor when CGC started grading cards, it seemed like there would be far more traffic. I guess not though.

I bought many Image books during that time period. I don't recall this book getting "hot" until Platt (issue 4 variant). But I could just be mis-remembering. Patrick I bought a bunch of them as well. I look back on them now and ask myself, what was I thinking?

You might find this hard to believe but there was a time when people collected comics (gasp!) before CGC existed. I know, I know, crazy talk right but it actually happened. There are even collectors now who choose (double gasp!!) not to get their comics entombed and actually enjoy them in their natural state.

I think I will read X-Men 1-93 and 144-whatever issue is current and I won't tell anyone what I think.
