  1. You're one of the suckers who actually believed that guy's story? Friendly as always
  2. I really don't consider anything too sentimental to never sell. I suppose I did when I was younger but not now. However, the two most likely candidates would be my copies of OAAW 83 and Richie Rich 1
  3. Hope you got lizards2 permission before you posted his picture
  4. People do care about those books. Sure, it's nowhere near as many people who care about superhero books but they do have a dedicated fan base. I collect Richie Rich because I read them as a kid. Not interested in high grade copies though. I want to read them.
  5. I've never been the buy 100 copies of anything type so it's finds in the wild for me, like the two copies of Peanuts 1 (this one) I found for 'peanuts'
  6. He's not crazy, he's most likely just older than you are. I hated it too. I really thought it was a stupid book. I wanted to like it, it just seemed juvenile - after getting into books like Sandman and GM's Doom Patrol and Animal Man. We referred to Spawn at the time as Spewn. (because we felt the urge to spew whenever we saw the comic). Those early Image books were all eye candy and almost no substance. I still can't believe I liked Todd's work at one point.
  7. I stopped after the Project Pegasus and Her storylines, around issue 60. Annual 7 is often overlooked in favour of Annual 2. I recently completed reader runs of Two-In-One 1-100 with annuals and Defenders from 1 into the 80s. Haven't sat down to read them yet.
  8. Someone has way too much disposable income on their hands. He/she really wanted that book.
  9. Harvey Hits 3 and 9 from this series (link below) have value. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?TID=191441 The early Richie Rich issues (2-10) have some value as well as Millions 1, Dollars & Cents 1, and Success Stories 1. Other than that, not so much Granted, none of these has the value that RR1 and Little Dot 1 has. If I were looking to collect the most valuable RR issues and appearances I would collect the following (in no particular order). Little Dot 1-10 (good luck, and even better luck in any grades higher than VG) Harvey Hits 3 and 9 Richie Rich 1-10 Tastee Freez 1 3-D Dolly 1 RR Millions 1 RR Success Stories 1 RR Dollars & Cents 1 The various # 1 issues (in high grade) from all the other spinoff series in the 70s would be fun to collect as well and would be the most valuable issue from each of those series.
  10. CGC really isn't interested in maintaining accuracy when it comes to first appearances and such. They should be but they're not. There have been many inconsistencies over the years with their labels.
  11. It started out strong enough with a couple of decent X-Men and Dr Strange stories, but then became quite generally mediocre and inessential, with one or two bits of quality in amongst the dross, such as BWS' Thing story, some David Mazzucchelli, Dave Gibbons, and a Chris Claremont coda to the Death of Captain Marvel, but far too patchy as a whole. I agree but it's fun to pick out the gems.
  12. I had a high grade copy of that book once. I kinda miss it
  13. Only if he sells them and cashes in but he won't because if he no longer owns any IMSM then he can no longer be the king of IMSM and it's far more important to him to lord that dubious honor over our heads.
  14. I always figured there must be a treasure trove of undiscovered gems in this series, like key artists, anti-communist propaganda, unintended double entendres, etc. But I wouldn't want to be the one who has to wade through 500 issues of this stuff to find it... Some of the covers are pretty cool. I picked up these Halloween covers at a show last year
  15. True......until recently. However, a picture surfaced on Facebook a few months ago. The image was then uploaded to comics.org I'd post the link but I can't access that site right now
  16. Remind me never to post a picture of myself, lest Flee get a hold of it.
  17. Holy carp! Where have you been?
