I haven't bought from them in a few years. I think they could be a great source for lower to mid grade readers if their pricing weren't batpoopy crazy.

I truly believe this is an overreaction to past times when their grading reputation was not good. I look at raw comics on their site and at times it's obvious that the comic is undergraded. Great for buyers. Not so great if you want to sell them raw comics.

It's too bad Atlas/Seaboard didn't succeed. Given what DC was putting out at the time, specifically their superhero stuff, they may have been able to seriously compete. DC superhero stuff in the mid to late 70s was pretty ordinary. They wouldn't have been able to touch DC in war though. Not sure how they could have done against Marvel though.

I find it fascinating that we, as a society, seem to have little problem with graphic violence but sex is a big no no. People get all up in arms about nudity but you can show, in graphic detail, someone being murdered. I realize it's fiction but sometimes the depiction is very real. I'm not even really talking about horror movies either. You need not go any further than prime time TV to see it. I know we're not going back to TV like we saw in the 60s but I feel like we've swung too far in the other direction.

People complain about TATs but just keep on submitting and then when they get frustrated because it takes so long, they get the privilege of being able to pay more for faster service. Bob is right. What incentive is there to improve when they know that people will pay more? Now I know why this smiley ...........was added to the boards

You probably answered your own question. While some of these were created by some of the greats of the era, the fact that none of the titles went more than four issues really puts a crimp on any long term fanbase appreciation. More like a cult following really. We can all wonder about the potential but it's a potential unrealized. On the other hand, if someone ever does anything with these properties, that could change
