The charts are legit, as they essentially mirror the charts offered in a newsletter by milehighcomics and charts by rarecomics based on CBCS census data. Responding to the bolded part. How do we know whether it is or is not? You repeat something enough times and enough people read it, it sometimes becomes "fact" regardless of whether it is or not. We need more critical examination of this data, not blind acceptance. Too many people just believe what they read.

Yeah yeah it was me, I understood what you meant about the effort for tampering a low value book, but you know, I have never hold a CGC in my hand before today, so when I've seen that little crack I was worried XD I'm not picking on you but the truly disturbing thing is how so many people assume, in their inexperience, that something is wrong, that something is counterfeit, that someone is trying to pull the wool over their eyes, that someone cheated them, etc. I'm not sure where this level of panic and insecurity comes from.

I agree it's high level, as is the binary decision to factor age or not. Other graders simply do not and it is becoming clear that CGC does, so by not revealing this high level decision they are hiding it from the general public. Many companies have proprietary information that they do not release to the general public I truly don't understand what you're going on about in this thread. If you want to personally disagree with CGC's grading that's fine. There are a lot of things I don't agree with when it comes to how CGC does business.

Yah they publish them here for public viewing https://www.cgccomics.com/grading/grading-scale/ where they kindly ask "To view the CGC grading standards for comics, see the Standard Grading Scale below" That's very high level. It's "grading" from 1000 feet. Once you get into the weeds and start analyzing books closely, it's different and that level of detail is not comprehensively published by CGC. Only CGC employees know those details. You can get a glimmer of it from grader's notes but that's about it.

Exactly, the guy that quoted me as "putting foot in mouth" cited my stating entities that are NOT cgc do not factor age But that's irrelevant as it applies to CGC's grading.
