A good question. I think some people have "newsstand mania" without really understanding what that means in terms of the supply of newsies vs direct as it relates to the year the comic was published.

I went to a show at the Westchester County Center in White Plains NY back in 2000. It was a very warm and humid weekend with no air conditioning in the venue. I walked up to where Barry Windsor Smith was sitting and he said hello to me and asked me how I was doing. I mentioned something about being too hot but otherwise okay and he offers me his bottle of water. I said I couldn't take his water but he insisted and said he could get another one so I got my comics signed and Barry gave me his water. Such an odd moment

There hasn't been anything reported recently, so I haven't seen it. But if that is what is happening, if it upsets the seller, they SHOULD report it. I think some people see it as free bumps, so they don't care.. I guess that's what it comes down to, does it upset the seller? It seems like most sellers these days just accept it as how its done today. Some encourage it. I do my best not to get into banter in anyone's sales thread. I just don't think it's the place for it. Others obviously feel differently.

I am not a fan of it either but it seems like a shift has occurred in board culture regarding this type of behavior. A seller always has the right to say up front that such banter is not allowed in the sales thread.

You are 100% right! It is completely normal to have hentai in a children's game card. While I am at it am going to make a time machine and listen to the 20 years younger you advice of not getting a single item in my 13 year old me collection. I tried, I give up.
