  1. My fav is the absurdly huge #1 variant. Not easy in high grade. Patrick
  2. Sally Forth may be one of the only Hughes' books I didn't run into while collecting. Dirty Pair was the other. Patrick
  3. Totally makes me think of Darrow. And Skroce from We Stand on Guard. Patrick
  4. International collectors are definitely pulling more collectibles out of the US Market. They are a HUGE part of the FB Live activity. Patrick
  5. I attempted a full set of Promethea for years. Going to stores all over the country. I never pieced it all together and sold my collection. I went to my 1st shop randomly. What is available? A full run of Promethea. AHAHAHAHAHAAH, good times. Patrick
  6. As Adamantium said, the FB Live situation really changed things. I love it for toys, I hate it for comics. I really liked it for stores when they were shutdown for COVID. Probably kept the majority open. Truth is, it massively globalized things for those stores that will partake. And due to that, there is no going "back to the norm" unless there is a sizeable global recession (I know, many argue we are in one). Get 75+ people in a FB Live session and you're going to make money. Patrick
  7. The Crusader is amazing. Also one of my favs from the entire line. It gets overlooked because of the Defiant. But combining the Defiant and the Night Raven = Oh Yeah! Patrick
  8. Finally finished the 2nd book. About 1/4 thru the 3rd (pictured below). Patrick
  9. That's really why things are valuable. New media causes people to destroy/discard the "dead" media. We had a few 8-Tracs, which were pitched when cassettes came out, which were pitched when CDs came out. Kind of hilarious how many times the same content was purchased/destroyed/purchased/repeat. Movies were not any better: VHS/Beta > DVD > HD/Blue Ray, etc. Patrick
  10. It's like comics, cards, or any other collectible. Vast majority are worthless. The desirable are more like sealed VHS, horror genre, things that may not have been reprinted in other media (like Faces of Death), etc. Patrick
  11. Agreed. The part that surprises me is how many teens/20-somethings are buying cassette tapes. Not sure what drives that. Guardians of the Galaxy? Patrick
  12. In Colorado, there are now stores focused on "Dead Media". VHS, DVDs, older video games, records, etc. Those are being coupled with other collectible types like toys. Cassette tapes are another huge seller now. This one surprised me, but I guess it's no different than VHS. Laser Discs have a following. The one that doesn't seem to have as much interest here are 8 Tracs. Patrick
  13. Sealed VHS can do well with the right crowds. Horror sealed VHS is another very strong seller. I picked up a set of Nightmare on Elm St recently. Patrick
  14. I also recently got out. Took me a few months to breaking myself by not buying new books. Then sold the collection. Patrick
  15. I also enjoy it. It's not the core 80s vehicle, but it was a fun and simple idea. The Aero Viper is not an easy figure to get in good shape. Good score. Years ago, I posted a sealed version on here. People thought it was nothing special. Patrick
  16. I'd take it either way. I tend to agree with the preference of a TV series. As long as it's a defined length (not open like WD and drags on or has poor tangents). Patrick
  17. We went to rallies too. A lot of fun back then. I remember USA-1. Early Gravedigger came later. But I'm struggling to remember beyond that. Patrick
  18. 1984 Bigfoot by Playskool. It's super nice. Really glad to get it. Runs great. Has the often lost key. Even the labels are in great shape. Patrick
  19. So tired of Bone starting and stopping. I'm sure it will be made someday. I'm getting to the point where I kind of hope it doesn't happen. Patrick
