  1. Here are a couple of Green Lantern comics featuring Evil Star and his band of Starlings:
  2. Neat they are but they're not popular now because they weren't popular then either. Each title lasted only two issues. Here are scans from two more one or two issue runs published by Harvey in the Silver Age:
  3. Here are scans of a couple of my Justice League books featuring Queen Bee:
  4. My Gold Key collecting is limited to a few select titles. Not counting one and two shot runs, I'm complete or close to complete in these: Doctor Solar Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea Man from UNCLE Girl from UNCLE M.A.R.S. Patrol/Total War New Terrytooms I'm also well into these: Phantom Rocky and His Fiendish Friends. I also have a small sampling of Twilight Zone, Dark Shadows, Munsters and Lost in Space comics. Here are scans from a couple of one and two shot runs:
  5. Here are scans of a few more of my superhero Harveys: Pacific Coast copy Pacific Coast copy
  6. Here are scans of some more of my Gold Key painted covers: 3 4 5 6
  7. Harvey romance comics are always good to see!
  8. Here are scans from my Donruss Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea card set which was issued in 1964:
  9. Time to buy DC keys like SC 22,B&B 28 etc. They will catch up to the Marvels, they are as key as any of the books you mentioned. Nah, everyone should just keep ignoring them I agree! Sell all your Silver Age DCs immediately, and then keep right on selling them. I'll be the buyer of last resort because I'm such a generous kind-hearted soul.
  10. No. They're all originally TV cartoon characters.
  11. Here are scans of a couple of Gold Keys featuring a pair of Hanna-Barbera characters: 2 3
  12. Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Am I ever getting pumped up for Halloween! I have huge plans. I've even recruited The MAN to help with their implementation! I'll have The MAN put on my Don Post mask in which he'll answer the door when those dastardly little trick or treating varmints come calling. He'll then thrust the voodoo staff I just bought into their faces so that they freeze with horror: And that's when I'll spring for their throats from the shadows with a hideous yeowl! They'll drop their bags of candy and flee in terror from the porch. I'll end up with so much candy, chips and bubble gum that I'll be rich! Heeeeee, heeeee, heeeeee!
  13. Those Tarzan covers are spectacular! How difficult is the Gold Key run to complete in that kind of grade? Do most of the issues feature Russ Manning art?
  14. Here then are more Phantoms: 12 Northland copy 13 Northland copy 14 17
  15. Here are scans of my Black Cat Giants plus some of the very well done Judo Tricks pages contained therein: Northland copy
  16. Here are scans of some more of my Gold Key painted covers: 3 6 10 11
  17. Stumbo was one of those Harvey titles that didn't have any regular sized 10/12 cent issues, only Giants. I'll have to keep an eye out for those giants. Here are scans of a couple more of my pre-code Harvey horror comics:
  18. Three things: 1. The miswrap with the crooked white stripe showing on the upper left. 2. The white stripe isn't as bright a white as I like for my comics, meaning the comic isn't as white and bright as I would want overall. 3. There seems to be a touch of wear around the upper staple. Although once again my #10 looks better in hand than does the scan which exaggerates its weaknesses. All my comics have good eye appeal. But I also know the fellows at CGC care not at all for eye appeal preferring instead to squint to find minor defects.
  19. My collecting habits have not changed. It seems though that those of most other collectors have in this age of restore, slab and flip. As a result, it's even harder for me to add titles such as Silver Age JLAs to my collection.
  20. No more than a couple. I'll scan and post them though. They're mostly gorgeous painted covers but I wouldn't call them grey or wash tones.
  21. Truthfully I'd be very pleased if my #10 graded out as a 9.0.
  22. Here then are a few more of my Dr. Solar comics: 8 9 10 11 12
