  1. Cool! The #20 is one of the ones I don't have. Here are a few more: Northland copy
  2. I wonder how widely collected those foreign issues are by fans in those countries. Do they fetch high prices?
  3. Here are scans of three more of my House of Secrets comics;
  4. Here are scans of my next few comics featuring Hawkman cover appearances:
  5. No, not yet. I have taken it out of the filing cabinet though with a whole bunch of other books including the Mystery in Space ones featuring Hawkman! This is all preparatory to doing a whole bunch of scanning. This weekend though, I promise! Here though are three group shots of me and my Hawkman run: \
  6. Here are scans of my earliest three Flash Giants: Annual 4 9
  7. Cool! I've never before seen that National Lampoon feature. Here are scans of my Superman Annuals: Here are scans of my Superman Annuals: 2 4 5 8
  8. Professor Zoom's first appearance was in Flash 139, the first Flash comic I ever bought. As such it played an integral part in making me a lifelong fan of DC comics: Here from my collection is a scan of #139:
  9. Captain Cold is tied with Super-Gorilla Grodd for the coveted position of being the dastardliest Flash villain of them all. See this poll: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=16&Number=4461883&Searchpage=1&Main=209590&Words=Captain+Cold+Hepcat&topic=0&Search=true#Post4461883 Captain Cold is a very bad man.
  10. Well you won't have to ask me twice. Here are scans from my collection of the Brave & the Bolds showcasing Hawkman: My favourite two covers of the lot are #36 and #42.
  11. He's clearly a man who believes in starting at the beginning (or close any)! (thumbs u
  12. Your father sounds incredibly talented. I wouldn't have the heart to tear down something I'd worked at for months.
  13. I recall Motor City Comics having both a Brave & the Bold 28 and a Justice League 1 for sale in 2000 at $5000 each. I thought the two were well overpriced. They were graded NM by Motor City but I didn't think the spines were perfect enough to be NM. Maybe VF. I'd like to see those two books again though.
  14. Oh I just hate fire stories. I cringe and cringe. I really wish that had not happened to you, or anybody. I love trains as well! I have a few Lionel HO cars from the late fifties and sets from the seventies. I wish I had more but I have to prioritize since I like so many things. What I'd really like though is a garden railroad, i.e. a 1/29 scale electric train layout that runs outside! But I'm in downtown Toronto with a tiny lot so it's an impossibility. Who knows, if I ever retire I can move to a much smaller town and have lots of land for a model railroad empire!
  15. I'll have to take a few more pictures of my toys over the coming few days then! We're also all big fans of stock car racing though. Here's Deuce with a bird's eye perch for our very own running of the Daytona 500:
  16. In effect. In Flash 216 it's explained that a certain Dragon's Eye causes Albert Desmond to embrace his criminal alter egos. In Flash 230 the fire demon Vadtara causes Albert to let his Dr. Alchemy persona take control.
  17. Here are some photos from Xmas a few years back. First here's my dearly departed roommate Phoebe in the large bedroom: Up on the tower of power: With our buddy Blizzard by the Xmas tree: Here's Blizzard again with Deuce on the front porch: The MAN always makes sure his feathered friends are perched well up in the tree beyond our easy reach:
  18. Here are scans of a few more of my Star Spangled War Stories comics featuring Enemy Ace:
  19. Here are scans of three more of my Strange Adventures comics:
  20. Albert Desmond scored a couple of cover appearances early in the Bronze Age though: Despite the paucity of cover appearances, you have to admit that Albert Desmond was an extraordinarily talented individual. Very few people can manage even one super villainous identity but Albert successfully pulled off two!
