  1. Todd, you're killing me!! What a great copy of this classic cover. Great OO story on these. Guess she didn't drive much? We'll need to see a group shot of these at some point!
  2. Thanks, Jack. Here's another, Nov 1927 Hi Todd, these high grade AMAZINGs you are posting are just fantastic. Sharpest copies I have seen in a long time. I had the good fortune about 17 years ago, when I first moved to Vancouver, to purchase about 16 high grade Gernsback sci fi bedsheets pulps (only part of a near complete local OO collection of Gernsback Amazings, Science/Wonders). Here's a sample. They are indeed nearly impossible to find in sharp condition!
  3. Hey RedFury, awesome pick up. One of my favourite "under the radar"pulps. Was this one from eBay? I was eyeing a copy on the 'bay, but ended up finding a very cheap copy from England. Nicely done! Yes, it's the most recent one from ebay. It's a pretty nice copy, and I'm glad to have it. Definitely under the radar. I wasn't even aware of its existence until recently. Congrats on getting one too! I thought about upgrading to your current copy, but since I bought mine for 4 British Pounds, I couldn't bring myself to spend the difference. I'll try to post my copy soon.

  5. Let's see it Sorry, it was a SAUCY MOVIE... I also have this SAUCY DETECTIVE, and both are slated for some light resto work... I love these JO covers!
  6. SO that was YOU cleaning these out!!!! What a great batch of Saucy's lately. I picked up a low grade SAUCY DETECTIVE from one of the last auctions.
  7. MrMyst, love the Lightning Comics! And the Active #3 has a great story featuring the Mummy. Really rare, wonderful comics. Let me know if you ever tire of those old Canadian funny books.
  8. Thanks. I was watching your auctions pretty carefully... great stuff, I needed to restrain myself!
  9. Hey Matthew, this group here really speaks to me. I've been searching around for a SIZZLING ROMANCES and SNAPPY ROMANCES, but to no avail. But every one of those seven covers is fantastic. PM me if you have any dupes. Just realized I won the HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS and PAREE from you. Good to know you are on the boards. Super happy with both! Great auctions!! Hi Matthew, I remember the SIZZLING TEC MYSTERIES (middle, bottom row) in the auction, and I passed on it in order to go after the Hollywood Nights. No regrets there. Which was the other duplicate?

  11. Missed this post!! Thats a stunning book Buttock. Amazing. What's the art under the comic?
  12. All awesome!! The first three on the left are among my fav funny books of all time, and those three plus the AMF with the diving girl (Sept issue) are the last four AMF's I hung onto.
  13. Yowsa!!! One of my top three all time fav covers. And in that grade...
  14. Thanks folks! Forgot to get a really good shot of it before I sent it out!
  15. Love those AMAZING Paul covered bedsheets. Congrats! That #1 kicks my #1 to the curb.
  16. Hard to pick a fav Wolverton cover out of this run. But that #5 is literally out of this world. Just a fantastic cover. #2 has always been a favourite of mine as well. Great pick ups!!! A friend of mine owns the WTOTF #2 rough sketches by Wolverton ... here's what the cover might have looked like (with notes):
  17. Awesome... but just for once I'd like to see a GA hero accept the cash reward!
  18. WOW!!! Larson? Backstory? Amazing. (thumbs u
  19. Been out of the loop for several days with a cold and back to teaching as well. Thanks everyone for the continued kind words about these commissions. These were truly collaborative in nature, and the result of two geeks wanting to imagine what could have been had the Centaur editor's had the common sense to publish these masterpieces!!
  20. Thanks everyone. Cat's brainchild of having these cover submissions completed was an idea I was very into. I greatly enjoyed stepping into Wolverton's LARGE, noodle-y shoes for a time. This is true, and I hope to see all you local geeks out there. I'll be selling children's books, prints, perhaps some original art, and it will be the unofficial local release of my first published comic book, "Mean Girls Club", published by Nobrow (UK). Thanks again Cat!!
  21. SO it was YOU who crushed my bid!!!! Well, congratulations. I know that issue has a great Mummy Man story in it. If you ever tire of it, shoot me a PM!
