  1. The trained monkeys are on strike at the moment. Contract negotiations are in the works.
  2. Thanks gang! I appreciate the kind words. (thumbs u
  3. Did you get that at the con Steve? Is it signed by the creator of Wonder Woman? Yes, SDCC - I'm not following the Wonder Woman question (sorry). Is it signed "HPL" or "KPL"? Its tough to read, but I'm guessing this is an "HPL" related item...
  4. Thanks Steve... that Astounding is a classic! Was one of the first pulp covers I had ever seen as a lad, and it always stuck with me.
  5. SPICY MYSTERY just arrived today. It was a bit of a gamble, and it wasn't exactly a bargain, but I could not pass up this rare, early Saunders cover (and sixth issue). I only own four Saunders cover pulps, but they are a nice representation of his work. The NEW MYSTERY ADVENTURE is a tough book to find!
  6. Awsome book. I have always loved that cover. Great score! Congrats Andy! That is an amazing looking copy.
  7. thruthfully that is a partial fear of mine...yes, as comic book fans of the publisher, we like to see the positive exposure...but as collectors of the publisher, relative to the seemingly almost non existent supply, I fear new competition At some point not too long ago, you WERE the new competition!
  8. Thats my old Curtis copy I had for several years, before selling to Gator! I loved that book. Looks like it got upgraded from a 3.5 to a 4.5, but a downgrade in PQ from OW to cream to OW designation... those are some big swings! Congrats!
  9. You know you could have held out all your life and not come across a decent copy.Congrats! Didn't know this was such a tough book! I always thought this cover was special. Not your typical funny book cover.
  10. These are great books Billy. Very Warholian.
  11. Unusual Comics copy available on the CLINK: http://www.comiclink.com/items.asp?id=22611&FROM=&TO=
  12. Great selection Stephen! "Teen 'Ventures" ... what a weird title How many copies of "Unusual Comics" #1 have you seen over the years? I'd love to snag a copy (for that great Kelly cover), but I'm guessing it is a toughie.
  13. New Hampshire copy. That explains it. Just a marvelous book! This is killing me. Love the #4 and #5 issues in this run!!
  14. Yes - just a random selection of books for the gathering. Allentown: The glossinator strikes again!
  15. Awesome Stephen. Great color combos on that last COMMANDO!!
  16. A boardie was kind enough to send me the link to one. I no doubt paid a record but it was perhaps my most wanted Bell one of the ones I was still looking for. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Duper-Comics-3-F-E-Howard-Pub-1947-RARE-CANADIAN-EDITION-1st-Mr-Monster-/351378942720?ssPageName=ADME:B:BOC:US:1123 Oh, that silly Brunom450! Congrats Dan, great looking copy! I will likely one day myself bend to Brunom450's will and shell out some real dough for a white.
  17. Forever one of the super keys! MARVELous book! The ultimate "Paul" book! Paul + Funnies Inc. + first Marvel comic = GRAIL Nice one Bill!
  18. Why doesn't Bunky just sell you his 2/1? simple, BOOM. (thumbs u
  19. That is a stunner Rick. Sorry I couldn't bring myself to part with my copy, but glad you found this high grade beaut! Was that the copy that you missed on CLINK?
  20. Dang, Vern, those are some nice whites. Keep us posted if they come to market!
  21. Thanks for posting those nice big pix of MARVEL #1 Submariner story, Vern. Really tough to find good quality interior shots online. I have never seen the interior in person, but those pix make it look as dreamy as I imagined it to be! There is something magical about that book for me, I know it doesn't do it for everyone. I only hope one day I can own a low grade complete copy. Good luck with your hunt!
