  1. IYO what is hurting the grade the most ? The spine creases? Thanks
  2. Is there a way of estimating how much a Stan Lee signature increases the price on a key book (CGC slab). For example would a Hulk 181 increase by 50% in price ? How do you guys price SS slabs ? I ask this question because I'm not sure how to price a FF 48 (5.0) and FF 49 (7.0) bought signed by stan lee. Not much sales history either to base my prices. 2018 and 2019 sales don't mean much. In today's market (with the Covid-19 crisis), I'm getting lowball offers so far. I know it's not a good time to sell grails, but I need the money, but I'm not willing to go way bellow FMV. Thanks
  3. You are right comicginger1789. With a clean & a press I think it has a shot at 6.0-6.5
  4. I think it could be downgraded to a 5.5 if CGC thinks that the spine has too many creases
  5. Super eye appeal indeed. I checked on ebay + previous sales and noticed many copies have offwhite covers front and back. This copy is real nice. Better to have a good looking 5.0 then a bad looking 6.0 with a visible flaw in wrong place.
  6. Hi Guys. I'm hoping for at least a 6.0 CGC Offwhite Pages. What do you think ? Thanks !
  7. I am thinking 5.0 OW/W pages. Not sure if I can go to 5.5 with a press and clean. What do you think ? Thanks
  8. Nice copy. I think it's a 7.0 CGC OW/W Pages. Maybe 7.5 when pressed and cleaned. What do you think ?
  9. Thanks for your opinion silversurfer27. I guess CGC would heavily penalize those pages that are semi-detached.
  10. No idea on the grade, the bottom left corner is the main issue... Thanks for your help
  11. Thanks for your input. I was even thinking 6.0. Of course cleaning the back will help and a press too.
  12. The main flaw is grease stain in back How does that affect the grade ? Thanks for your input !
  13. Thanks man. I won't click it. I did a pre-screen also so depending on the invoice amount, I will be able to tell how many were slabbed.
  14. Hi guys. So I submitted two seperate submissions of modern comics a month ago. I should be getting an update on the grading any day now. So my question is : How do I not spoil the results when CGC let's me know that the grading is done ? To that end, how does CGC let you know the results (by email or in the submissions tracking page)? I'd rather know the results when opening the boxes. Thanks
  15. Thanks for the info. Is there a chance CGC will downgrade from an old case? Meaning they grade again when re-holdering.
  16. Ok shame. So basically you have to crack open your slabs (PGX, CBCS) yourself and send them to CGC? If you have old CGC slabs and hand to have them slabbed do you use the Reholder service? Thanks
  17. Hi. Does CGC still offer this service? What's your experience having a CBCS silver age book go from CBCS to CGC ? Thanks
  18. Uhm okay I will check for that but not sure how to tell if the slab was opened.
  19. Thanks RockMyAmadeus. The keys are long gone. I was careful LOL. So I'm relieved to hear that these slabs are normal.
  20. Hi guys. I bought a couple of slabs from someone on eBay but I'm worried now that they have been tampered with. I was looking at them and they look less than their grade seems to indicate. By applying a little pressure, I can open the slab with my fingers by 1/4 of an inch in the middle part ! Also the labels look cheap and are wavy (not flat) but that was maybe like that back in the day ? Maybe I'm just not used to the old slabs, but I don't think the middle part should be like that (see keys in pics) ! What do you think ? Please help ! Thanks
