  1. Have you ever bought a book late at night and didn't think twice before pressing Buy Now (I know risky) ? I got FF48 a few minutes after the listing was up. Here it is in all it's glory. The seller estimated the grade but I wanted to know your thoughts. I think I got a sweet deal. Thanks
  2. I did not know the word unsightly hihi Would it be worth it from a financial point of view (blue label vs purple label) ? You probably get that question a lot.
  3. Went through one page. Is there any chance of getting a blue label meaning can all the restoration be removed at this point? Thanks again
  4. I believe in the mid 1980's. He is not the original owner. He also owns ASM 2, I can post that if you want to check
  5. Oh dear . Extra cost to get it restored. That sucks. What do you mean by first wrap? Thanks !
  6. Thanks for your input. Would that merit a purple label ? If so can that restoration be removed? thanks
  7. That would be awesome if @joeypost could do that. I assume Joey is a resident expert around here
  8. Hi Sal. Can you please pinpoint exactly where you think there is color touch? thanks again
  9. Yes attached. Those other staple holes not sure why they are there
  10. For your viewing pleasure I think it's a 3.0. Not for sale btw
  11. Caps at 5.0 blue label? How much does restoration cost about? thanks
  12. Well the comic is still popular in restored grade but the value does drop alot. Do you think it's a 3.5 CGC restored ?
  13. Does that mean if the comic is slabbed by CGC, it will have a purple label . Looks like a C scale... Would it drop a complete grade (like 4.0 to 3.0?)
  14. joeypost i think you might be right. Here are to bigger pics. The brown seems darker at the top. Can color touch be removed? If so, how expensive is it to do this ? Thanks
  15. In the back, it's the (bad) wrap of the book front the front. Is that what you meant?
  16. yeah I agree, I looked at other 3.5 and they looked way less good. The stain doesn't ruin the eye appeal since it's at the the bottom of the comic. I wonder how CGC would evaluate it.
  17. Yeah the stain is a killer. No sorry not for sale
  18. Hi all, my friend wanted to have an idea of the grade of his AF 15. I'll say it right away it's NOT for sale, so please don't message me The main flaws are : 1) Blue stain at the bottom of the comics. It go through to about page 10. 2) Damage above the top staple 3) Crease lines on cover Other then those flaws very nice book ! Thanks for your opinions
  19. I compared a few 6.0 CGC slabs with this raw copy. I would be (pleasantly) surprised to get a 6.0. I think a 5.0 is in the realm of possibility. The corners are pretty nice. The spine however is in so so shape and the back is less bellow average. The cover is very nice. CGC might be harsh with that one tear in the center page (see pic), not sure.
  20. Cool that you did a follow-up !!!! Nice book Congrats !!!
  21. Hi drewincanada Is this information still accurate in 2019 ? Thanks !
