  1. Hi all, I got a nice high grade copy of New Mutants 98 but it has a visible flaw in a corner (see pics). Question : Do you think CGC will see this as a production defect and not take it into account when grading the book? Thanks for your input !
  2. Beat up copy, what is the potential with a clean and press? Thanks
  3. I think its a 6.5 White pages. What do you think? Is 200$US too much for this book? Thanks
  4. Yes a couple pages deep. Is it work slabbing. I know the back looks bad....
  5. Pretty banged up ASM #13. Because of the tears I think it's a 2.0 O/W to cream What do you think ? Thanks
  6. Thanks for your answer revat. I don't think its worth it after all. If I buy it, I will leave it as is.
  7. Thanks for your input. It all makes sense. The book is pricey 1 000 $US. Regrading would be costly with no guarantee of a better grade. I live in Canada so doing this is more costly.
  8. I am considering buying this comic and the seller has told me that the comic was never pressed or cleaned. Do you thing it's worth buying, crcking the slab, having CSS press and clean it and then resubmiting it? If so, do you think it would go up to 9.2, 9.4 ? Thanks
  9. Does any one know of a company or an individual than can help me remove most of the overspray? Thanks !
  10. If it was badly cut during production (not straight), then the left side would not be so perfectly aligned correct? Meaning in the back some of the front part would show.
  11. Could it be that the comic was just badly cut on the production lin ? The one on left has more black to the right of the banner (see bottom of the page) However on the top the tip of the horse's wing is cut (which is not the cas on the right side) Also, is it possible to have a same book a little less wide than another copy with no trimming ? I will try to find more examples.
  12. Arak Zantara, I have done some research and yes it appears that there is trimming on the right side. Look at this side by side comparison. What do you think guys ?
  13. I noticed the margin on the right side of the pages (see pics) gets narrower as you go up the page. Could that be a sign of trimming ?
  14. Good points you make Trimmed on the right side? If it was trimmed how can I tell ? If the staples were replaced lets say I could I tell ? Thanks
  15. I have a second copy as well. What grade would you give it ? Thanks for your help man
  16. I'm less optimistics but that would be great. The top has a few tears... Thanks for your grade
  17. Hi guys, I have no idea how CGC will grade this considering the back of the book... Thanks for your help
  18. Hi Guys, Here is my second copy of Avengers 48. I posted my first copy here yesterday and consensus was a 6.0 to 6.5 grade. I'm hoping you guys think this one is a better grade. Also do you think the pages look white? Thanks for your help !
  19. Thanks for the info James. I will be super careful buying older comics.
  20. Thanks for your input. Is there anyway to ''clean it'' a little so it is less visible or to prevent it from getting worse besides storing it in a dry place?
  21. I realize its a delicate subject. Thanks for your comment.
