  1. Thanks for the info. Did you check on Sold listings from eBay to get the information?
  2. Hi guys. I use Go collect to look at prices of sold Slabs. Does any one know how to filter by UK variant (or canadian variant for that matter) the data ? I ask because I want to buy Werewolf by Night 32 from someone but it's a UK 9p variant. I have no idea how much it's worth when compared to the US version. Thanks !
  3. Great response thanks Andy ! I listed Ms Marvel 1 raw (probably 9.0 wp) on eBay 7 day auction at 10$ last year (when still popular). The winning bidder got it at 34$. I got burnt so that's why I start at 70% FMV now with an option to buy now at 100% FMV. I get it that very well known seller will have more interest than me (whom no one knows on eBay). The popular seller can start at 0.99$ and will wind up getting rarely bellow 70% FMV. It also doesn't help me that I live in Canada. Unless I sell bellow FMV or if I have a super hot or rare book, most US buyers don't want to bother buying from me. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  4. Sunday auctions ending in the evening are great for sellers. You are right you can get deal when auctioners end auctions sometimes at silly hours like 7 am.
  5. Hi all, I am hesitating on auction length for listing CGC slabs on eBay. Option 1 : 7 days starts at 9pm EST (bad idea to end a thursday evening?) Option 2: 10 days starts at 9pm EST (too long?) Has anyone on the forum tested both options ? Also I want to start the auction at 70% of FMV with a possibility to Buy now at 100% of FMV. Is that a good strategy? Thanks
  6. that would heaven sent ! how much do they go for (6.5, 7.5) on the market when slabbed (with the green label) ? thanks
  7. So I received the comic in the mail today. I looks even better than I hoped. I'm thinking maybe 7.0, but that would be a stretch because of the spine crease and corner folds. What do you think ? Here are some better pictures :
  8. Probably 99,% of all attempts to fool CGC to get a blue label doesn't fool them. The only way is to switch cover with another copy, but even the staples being removed will show under the microscope
  9. Thanks for your reply. I'd be surprised if tapping the correct stamp cutout from another comic and tapping it gives you a blue label. I will do some research. A grade drop would make sense but a different colored label makes more sense. Hope some other experts on this forum can answer this question that probably has been discussed here. I will do some research and try to find some answers. I assume that some people have tried to fix the MVS by replacing that page in book as well.
  10. I always loved this cover ! The yellow is real nice. Lots of these have a brownish crease to the left of Spider-man's neck. I have seen 9.8 CGC slabs with that production defect. Did you have it cleaned and pressed?
  11. It was advertised as a 7.0 but I paid a 5.0 price
  12. Hey guys so I got a sweet deal on this comic. Do you think it has a shot at 6.5 CGC Qualified if pressed and cleaned ? Off-white to white pages ? Qualified prices are very different for the same grade for this book I noticed... Thanks for your 2 cents !
  13. I agree, it probably lower the grade from 6.5 to 6.0
  14. You are correct sir. The comic was apparently taken out of a slab. It was a 3.5 grade !
  15. Thanks for your input. I am a newbie at this. So the amateur pen/marker in price area restoration at the top left merits a purple label C-1? Darn such a little thing will for sure lower the value by alot I think).
  16. I paid 1K so I got a nice deal I think. 6.0 CGC go for about 1.6 k on eBay
  17. We shall see when the book comes back from cgc in early 2020
  18. Hi guys. How would a split spine affect the grade of this book? The split goes from staple to staple. The book has tape to secure the spine, See pics. Thanks
  19. Once I have it slabbed, I will update the topic thread. Thanks !
  20. I hope not Best looking 5.0. I found a few examples of 5.0. I think my copy looks better.
  21. Paid about half of a slabbed comic. The seller claimed it to be a 7.0. I tend to think it's a 6.5. Maybe if I had it cleaned and pressed I might get a 7.0. Pages seem offwhite.
