  1. Speeding Bullets #1 by Eduardo Barreto. Homage to Superman #1 Barreto did a great job!
  2. I always preferred SS#3 over the rest of the series.
  3. This is very obscure. Jim Silke did this pinup for Rocketeer Adventures vol #1, a homage to Saturday Evening Post cover. J.C. Leyendecker (1924)
  4. Here is Jackson "Butch" Guice doing a homage to a cover he drew 33 years before. Great to see how his artwork has evolved. Sword of The Swashbucklers The Saga Continues #1 (2018) by Guice Sword of The Swashbucklers #1 (1985) by Guice
  5. Power of Her #1 by Tom Grummett Tom has been doing a number of what-if type covers. This is a homage to Marvel Premiere #1 "Power of Warlock" Since her was created by the same group behind Him that was later Warlock its the perfect homage cover. Tom drew the whole cover, logo, and trade dress.
  6. THE UNCANNY X-MEN OMNIBUS VOL. 2 cover by Stuart Immonen and Wade Von Grawbadger Stuart's take on Uncanny X-Men #137 by Byrne
  7. Half way thru the year and I can check off one, Superman pencil by Joe Shuster.
  8. I have a Nightcrawler drawing which Dave Cockrum did in nov of 76 about a year after Nightcralwer debut in Giant-Size X-Men #1. Then Bob Layton did an amazing job inking it, and not with a marker. I love the final product but I would not have had Bob ink the over the pencils. I like seeing the orignal pencils when it comes to sketches or drawings and inking on a separate sheet would always be my option. I have never had someone ink over pencils, always separate.
  9. I love Bizarre Adventures #27, all three stories are great. The Iceman has Alfredo Alcala inking Perez and the Jean Grey story has her origin.
  10. I would never get a sketch inked by another artist. If I did it would like lightboxed/bluelines.
  11. Extra!!!! Extra!!!! Superman delivering newspapers..... Great example by the co-creator of Superman, I have been searching for something by Shuster. I think it was done for an advertisement in the 1940s. IM me if you know what it was done for.
  12. I won a Marvel Spotlight ten years ago and mack in march someone offered me twice what I won it for. But its a nice Sutton/mooney ghost rider page and I want to keep it. Within two weeks after that I received half dozen more offers which increased to the final one being $1K over the initial offer.
  13. With the super crazy prices that sellers are getting at Heritage for their artwork. Has anyone gone into their collections and thought about what pieces they would consign to Heritage auctions? The X-Factor #67 page by Portacio which went for $10K got me to dig out the two pages from the next issue I own of Scott giving baby Nathan to the woman from the future seen on that page from issue #67. I also pulled out the portfolio which has X-Men #98 page with the first appearance of Logan's face without the mask and looked at it. Thought about what it would fetch then put the portfolio back. Anyone else get the itch?
  14. Damn. I have the two page sequence where Jean and Scott give up baby Nathan Summers to her. Would those go as crazy?
  15. I would never own that page, the content is too extreme and hits too close to home. Someone I know was the victim of domestic abuse. I am amazed it went for that price.
  16. The climatic page where he finds out he is an android went for $4K today.
  17. It is interesting to see him pencil and someone else inks. Nice combo with Giordano
  18. Picked this on from the last Dueling Dealers, been looking for a nice Deadman page. Cheaper than an Adams or Aparo. DC Super Star #18 page 14 by Romeo Tanghal and Giordano
  19. I have been trying to complete this book for 27 years, I have found pages for it over the years, picked up the cover from a fellow group member (Thanks Dave) and John Romita Jr. portion many years ago. I am down to the final page, featuring Jean, Scott, Hank and Jubilee. Please keep an eye out for this page, message or email me if you come across it.
  20. I am one step closer to my goal of putting Uncanny X-Men #308, Jean Grey proposes to Scott Summers. Back in November two pages from this issue appeared on ebay. I bid strong on both but won one and under bidder on the other. Fast forward and I am contacted by the winner, there is something else he is after and needs to raise funds so he offers the page I lost out on to me. We did the deal and tha page has arrived!!!! Now down to one page.
  21. Picked this up during ComicArtLive Amber Blake #3 Operation Butterfly cover prelim by Butch Guice
