  1. Why don’t you go ahead and write $1.00 on it and send it my way
  2. I do believe that’s the most gorgeous rendering of all the females on all the Planets
  3. Someone bought the San Francisco copy of MMC 47 9.2 for $20k in 2019, somehow improved it to a 9.4 and sold it again this week in CCs auction for . . . wait for it . . . $20k. D’oh
  4. Great books. But you should just give me the 33 because I’m a good guy
  5. Yes Mark. Your Cap 37. Want it back? KIDDING YOU CANT HAVE IT. Yes, I got another, but it’s lower grade than yours. Thanks again
  6. Yes, Filter81 sourced me the Cap 1 (as well as a Bat 1. ) My books have come from you, Gator or Filter81, mostly
  7. I forgot about that one. I think I was 2 or 3 guys downstream from you. I was talking about the Cap 36.
  8. Why, whatever could you mean? Hmm. What name could we come up with that sounds more dramatic than “water”? By George, I think I’ve got it!
  9. Cat you’re right about schomburg putting a villain at the bottom of most covers staring out at the reader with a look of terror and dismay. It’s actually one of the things I like least about schomburg (and I’m a huge fan of his) because they are so cartoony. I go out of my way to collect Schomburgs covers without that, the only exceptions being these . . .
  10. I did not know Daring 1 was the 1st Schomburg cover! And it looks like I’m the only one that didn’t - I need to get out more, I guess. To me, that is as significant as Stan Lees 1st work for Timely in Cap 3. Guess there’s another book added to my want list
  11. Thanks, Pink, but I know my paltry gathering doesn’t hold a candle to yours. Actually, one of these books came from you, years ago. Remember which?
  12. Prices being down the way they are, I’ve been able to pick up some more pages without breaking the bank. Another copy of Jokers first story appearance, and I’m especially happy with the last page of FF1. Such high adventure contained in a single page!
  13. I wish there were some consistency in the way CGC formulates their reader notes. I see a spot of discoloration on the paper near the spine, but no rust on the staple. But inexplicably, cgc only occasionally makes a note of rust, even in books with worse problems. This always leaves me to wonder if the rust developed after grading, and I have no way of knowing if the rust was taken into consideration when calculating the grade. Obviously it was taken into consideration here, but other times I am left to wonder
  14. A year ago, a 2.5 went for $100k more. Still, a great book to have. Also, the coverless copy missing the first wrap and a centerfold went for $18k
  15. I am, and I’m truly surprised. It hammered at Heritage for the insane amount of $132k, and I was no way it’ll get anywhere near that this go around. But it’s at $92k now and there will be a flurry in the extended bidding, so it’s a head scratcher.
  16. My increasing inability to refrain from telling my beloved clients to f$ck right off tells me it might be time to retire, so I will be at the end of this year. So yeah, the comics may go
  17. These have long ago rocketed past my comfort level, but no harm in dreaming big
