  1. That’s interesting, and a nice offer. You should keep this page for you. Do you think he must have drawn the art for the first page? It’s a cool style
  2. Probably the rust. This book went $20k too low for the same reason. Well, that and the tan pages I guess
  3. Its worth noting the Promise copy of Mask 1 only sold for $102k first time around. This is one of the exceptions to our way of thinking on the Promise books. The Eerie 1 similarly exceeded the first sale. Maybe this is more of a comment on the state of PCH books than anything else.
  4. Yikes. The Promise copy of Tec 140 Riddler 9.6 dropped from $456k to $360k. Haircut time Eerie 1 first horror jumped from $90k to $108k
  5. The Tec 33 is surprising to me. Bidders don't seem to care about the glue on the spine. 6 times guide at $300k!!
  6. Interesting, the spread between a Bat 1 8.0 and a Bat 1 7.0. $1.1 Mil v. $660k
  7. Deepest price cut in the tri-county area
  8. The Promise collection is a fine and worthy collection. It’s the way it was overhyped that has drawn so much derision here on the boards. And rightfully so. But those crypto guys were never coming back anyway, so the fact they are now finding out how poor their comic investments are is of little importance. That money was gone from our beloved hobby anyway. Yes, I know there’s an iceberg directly in my path ahead, but none of this has stopped me from enjoying this book. I’ve never seen a book of this age with such a perfectly white back cover, and flaws and all, I still love the front cover too. maybe I should start a support group for us Promise book owners. Or at least maybe a 12 step program. . .
  9. Wow! What a collection! That FF 3 shore looks familiar. Did you just buy it off CC?
  10. I looked at and considered the Showcase 6. It really is a beautiful copy. Whoever the consignor was, he was mos def a Challengers fan. He had all 4 Showcase issues and issue #1. I wasn’t sure how much appetite there was for these characters out there in the world, and the final hammer price surprised me
  11. This book was under graded, IMO. I think that’s why the price was so strong. Or have we gotten to the point where the 2 is approaching price parity with the 1?
