  1. I can’t think of a single cover in the world that creeps me out as much as this one. I’m afraid a spirit would inhabit my comic box (ok, I’m only kidding. Sort of)
  2. Disagree. That’s giving free passes the people who engage in this behavior. You don’t blame the victim thats looking through the wrong end of the telescope To even hear that POV advocated here on the Boards causes me to doubt my friends here. I’m hoping you misspoke
  3. Better nobody tell Mr. Bedrock about this, or we are gonna get a fresh burst from him. You listening Rich?
  4. I was on the hook as high bidder for a week, and got overbid at the last second. Now I can return my attention to a certain CC book hey somebody needs to bid Gators CC Centaurs up a little more.
  5. Good find, Gotham Kid. Eye appeal is off the chart.
  6. My own opinion is 3.0 and below gets the $50k/ point. Above a 3.0, the price per point comes down a bit
  7. I think it’s a $50k/point book, but the tape may be a factor here
  8. It never ceases to amaze me how the market’s tastes change and evolve over time. All we can do is buy what we love and hope for the best when it comes time to sell.
  9. The MMC 27 9.6? So either the buyer was a flipper, or he just got tired of hearing us talk about his book! I’ve bought 2 big books that have been the object of intense discussion here on these boards after the fact, and I can tell you its a weird experience
  10. Wait, I may have missed something here. Is there a thought that the Timely prices were soft in Heritage?
  11. I already have . . . I introduced my stimulus package on day 2
  12. Dressed for battle against Aquaman
  13. What a scary emptiness that must be. All collectors, large and small, have to contemplate this decision sooner or later. From what i can tell, some sell off(like Jon Berk), and somehow make the adjustment. Some avoid that emptiness and leave it to their heirs to sort out. I’ll be in the first category, so you are a few steps ahead of me on the path. But what a ride it was . . .
  14. Nothing ever happens until the final 3 minutes, so try not to torture yourself
  15. I don’t think so. I think its a good idea. But I don’t think the books match up as well as Cap 1 and Bat 1. I’ll be curious to hear the experiences/thoughts of others. I was once the high bidder on an MF73 at close of bidding on a Heritage auction, but I was told later by Heritage that there was a mess up and someone else won the book. They were unprofessional about it, and at the time I swore never again, but those were empty threats since I still buy from them occasionally
  16. And there in the “after” shot, once the spine has been moved, you can now see a thin line of the pages on the right hand side.
  17. Oh, I see it. That stain is as identifiable as a fingerprint. Thanks Batman_fan
  18. First of all, that upsets me. Ill keep further opinions to myself because I understand there’s many boardies ok with it. but how do you know those 2 Bat 1s are the same book?
  19. Good lord I missed that too. I’ve deleted my original post because it’s the other company
  20. Sounds like you’ve got conserved books. Not my cup of tea, but more power to you
