  1. I just today moved mine to a safety deposit box. I already feel less cluttered in my mind, and I wonder if I’ll occasionally forget about them, like you. It actually sounds kinda nice. I left about 10 books in the house. Maybe I’ll ship those to CC and enjoy the free life for a minute. I feel like an empty-nester whose kids just left for college!
  2. Wow, Hey! You sound like you have been thru the war! And it sounds like the hobby has been too. Thank you for breaking it all down. No wonder there are strong feelings on the part of collectors. I now feel them too
  3. Agreed. I’ve considered them both. And the 5.5 has a faded cover and lower page quality, to the point I’m not interested
  4. You were a good guy for selling your book. I’m glad it went for a ton
  5. Regardless of which way it started out, is there a consensus on which version is more prevalent?
  6. bluechip, you crack me up. I know you are saying “no dot” was first, because they would never change the plates just to remove it; they would only find the situation plate-change-worthy to add the dot. Makes sense to me.
  7. Wow wow wow. Thank you lou_fine. I didn’t know any of this. Although I joined CGC in 2005, I didn’t make my first post until 2018. I never read the boards because they confused me. The collector bug grew strong, and so now I’m here. Thanks again lou_fine. I can see there are still deep divisions over this issue within the collecting community, so let’s maybe talk about something else . . .
  8. My wife just looked at this and said WTF
  9. I just made my secretary take this on my phone and now she thinks I’ve lost my mind . . . No dot on this one
  10. Also, not a well thought out plan when your getaway car has your name written on the side
