These are actually pretty cool. Seems like at least 10 years ago when they were first offered by CC?
Yes I remember that too. I wonder if Jon Berk picked them up

Just about to go in and take a look at the offerings for CC's Event Auction tomorrow and boy, talk about invisible comics, but is anybody here planning to bid on all of these lots with the Nicholas Cage comic book frames, as they are all going for around $1,400 with still another day to go:
https://www.comicconnect.com/item/1032968
imagine the cosmic injustice of me using this frame to display my Iron Man 55 in place of Nic’s Action 1. It’s almost irresistible
seriously, I’d be too afraid the book would fade or crash to the ground

Thanks to Clark @GreatCaesarsGhost for my purchase of this book. I really appreciate his help on this sale for me to get the Marvel 2. Thank you, buddy.
Harold it was no problem at all. You are my friend

Ouch on this one.
I never could figure out how a non-war cover got that price in the first place

I guess this goes a long way to explain why they don't seem to be fully prepped for this upcoming Event Auction as their long-time Consignment Director, Rob Reynolds, has landed the same gig in the New York office of Heritage. Definitely not good news for CC's consignors as I heard that Rob was the go to guy and jack of all trades when it came to CC's auctions.
Oh he absolutely was. Happy for Rob, but big loss for CC

What I see is a chance to own one of the best pages, from one of the best Golden Age comic books, with the first image of perhaps the finest villain in the history of comics, in rare supply, for a bargain price.
You’re absolutely right about that

Looks like there's a piece of page 3 (?) attached to the back of the page. Not sure this is a problem. Other than some tears, I fear I may be missing the problem you are asking about.
It’s a rogue piece from a different page, but regardless its source, the eye appeal is adversely affected. So that, plus the other problems with the page, are too much for me

I don't have the issue to check (lol) but maybe that's part of the rest of the wrap that's still attached? Or maybe it's just stuck together with glue from someone trying to keep the loose pages together, so they thought it would be more damaging to remove it? Only the graders and original submitter would know for sure, I guess...?
You’re right. Could be stuck together in a way that separation was problematic. But it’s mos def not the next page . . .

Mask Comics actual pricing
in Golden Age Comic Books
Posted
I think it was irrelevant to the final hammer price
