  1. Got hit with an unknown charge on a submission from one of the in-house signings that I received some weeks back. I called into CS and talked with Accounting, per Accounting, UPS re-negotiated their rates so the amounts on the submission forms are wrong. UPS on a single book went from $14 to $24.12. And this new surprise charge is CGC passing the new cost onto us. While that is all well and good over all, it is a little baffling that they are doing this without any sort of notice or anything. Really making me rethink what I am going to send in as I have no idea what the end shipping rates will really be now. I am not sure if this has any effect on FedEx or USPS, as I normally just use UPS. In the end, just be aware, if you are not using your own UPS account and instead relying on the quoted rates on the shipping forms, they are not correct and you will be hit with whatever overages that occur without warning.
  2. Now what will be poetic would be if #13 is also the 13th person to pick...... NOT IT
  3. While that is accurate, he was just point out your inaccuracy in the statement. In the realm of Comic Books there should absolutely be no "oh you didn't like it after 1yr, ok here is some money back". That is crazy talk. I commend the OP for thinking of his seller rating above all, kudos to you sir, kudos to you.
  4. Hmmmm I don't see this on sold listings on the bays. Highest I see is $171 for a sealed pack of 25.
  5. Got you on this one too with the ASM.
  6. Looks like I beat you by a short minute.
  7. Amazing Spider-Man 124 - 1st Appearance of Man-Wolf
  8. Flash 123 - 1st appearance of Golden Age Flash (Jay Garrick) in the Silver Age and 1st mention of Earth-2
  9. Update on my fiasco. What should have been delivered on August 14th and was completely lost from the 12th until the 19th was finally delivered today to CGC. And it must be a record it is already received on my Submissions page..... Only 10 days late on it being delivered
  10. I ordered a blanket once and received a much smaller generic floor mat. Paypal ended up refunding me and opening an internal investigation on the company that I purchased from as they wanted me to return the item and pay for the shipping back to China.
  11. I shipped a box to CGC last Wednesday (3-day Priority) it left here and went to Austin that day. It has sat in Austin until last night where it finally left. That is a full week sitting in a hub. I talked to the local Post Master and he said it is actually down from the 3 week backup. And the issue isn't that all packages are delayed it is when your package arrives and what bin it is put it. If they shelve it at the end of the day it is essentially pushed off until they catch up. If it wasn't for the fantastic workers I dealt with locally I would have lost my mind over this, I nearly did a few times to be fair. Now I get to wait until at least this weekend to see if it gets delivered on the new expected delivery date.....
  12. I agree the bottom left corner looks troubling and could keep it from 9.8.
  13. I guess it is good that I didn't do any research and just randomly picked numbers then.
  14. That maybe they slabbed the wrong book?
  15. So you are saying that Heritage photoshopped the image and put another comic in? That sounds like a conspiracy theory: https://comics.ha.com/itm/modern-age-1980-present-/wolverine-4-marvel-1982-cgc-nm-mt-98-white-pages/a/122033-15526.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515 I'm surprised people are shocked by this. There's been a lot of examples over the years of CGC over or undergrading books. I can't say why it happens on such a severe case at times but it does happen. While I agree that people make mistakes, that is a pretty large mistake. But hey, it is absolutely possible. I do not believe that Heritage had any hand in it other than just being the seller that sold it. Where they are just putting an item up and letting it go for what it goes for. Thanks for providing the info @Keys_Collector, i really just thought it was either a photoshopped image or something trying to pull a fast one.
  16. With the creasing/stress on the right side of the book alone that would knock it out of the 9 range immediately imo. While the cert number is indeed a 9.8 Wolvie Limited #4 I do not believe it is THAT Wolvie Limited #4.
  17. The back cover crease on mine pressed out completely. It was left in the poly from release until roughly a year ago.
  18. That drives me nuts. So I have gotten to know the UPS guy, I think he knows when I am home based on my car being in the driveway. So that is not as big a deal. Shoot, my UPS guy had one of my signing books on his truck, I was going outta town for work and knew I would miss him. So I hunted him down a couple neighborhoods over and said "hey you got a box for me?" Sure enough he walked it over and handed it right off. Amazon though, I have been round and round with them about their drivers not knocking or ringing my doorbell like is requested in my account.
  19. If that is the only flaw then 9.2/9.4 is likely accurate. You want to press this no matter if you think it is the only flaw or not (unless it has been pressed already). The Polybag was brutal to this issue. Some that sent in without any spine damage and didn't press came back in the 8.0-8.5 range and lower.
  20. I am leaning on getting a 2nd Print already slabbed, maybe. The 1st print I have one on order already with a guarantee 9.8 and Lucille label. Since the current WD labels are retired, I was hoping to get all of them with Lucille but alas that is unlikely. I know @bigclutch mentioned reaching out to CGC about them retiring the labels already but not sure if it will change anything.
  21. Finished up my set of Negan Lives. Bronze and Red Foils I am sending out this afternoon to get the ole slab treatment.
  22. I agree with @Deadpoolica that 8.0 is gunna be the range. Those rub marks are gunna kill it. And that is without having any idea what the back looks like.
