  1. Branget is talking about kitty cats...Seth is talking about LIONS!
  2. Yep. You should sell or trade me one of yours..help limit your exposure. ;-) Please...?
  3. Certainly more relevant to the story! I knew Ampersand's name, but totally spaced on the final issue.
  4. It's cool, thanks for the refresher. And (&!)...I knew who he was talking about. ;-)
  5. Read YTLM, enjoyed it...but can't for the life of me remember how it ended.
  6. or just pay $8 to press the VF to NM... ;-)
  7. I keep trolling eBay hoping for a reasonably priced RRP...and I keep missing them. This is terribly frustrating! And now the price fix is in, as there seems to be a united front to try to make it a $135 book...when the sales thus far have not supported that price.
  8. Good report Jon. I've never seen the appeal of these books. They've always felt like all flash, no substance, manufactured rarities. This market will implode at some point. The only reason I would buy these is if I loved them and never planned to sell them. Otherwise, they feel like Lady Death and Witchblade all over again. Agreed. And most of these covers just strike me as terribly tasteless as well. I guess there's a market for that, though...as they keep selling.
  9. Maybe. But if I just showed up, I wouldn't have gotten the $15 deal. Actually...if you hadn't called ahead, they'd probably have been $10. ;-)
  10. Seriously. I just listed three ToT #1 first prints on ebay for $80 as a BIN/Best Offer. In less than two hours 16 people looked at the auction, I received three different offers in the $50-70 range, and finally a fourth buyer hit the BIN at my asking price. You can speculate as to the motivations I guess, but there is demand for this book... and damn, if those of us on this board do have this kind of power, I wish we'd flex it a lot more often. Congrats on the sale. It does seem strange to see some of these sales on eBay when, as Michael said, there were plenty of copies of this book at C2E2 that just sat there. Nobody was buying it for $15 to $30. Maybe we need another word for when speculator's overpay buying from each other on eBay to give an impression that a book is hot. Incestuous? No. That's kinda creepy. I like what you are doing here with new words Chuck.. I thought about Icy/hot but that just doesn't sound right.. So I though Shaquille O'Neil is the Icy/hot spokesman.. So how about Shaqed. Or Shacked. I.e. that's a Shaqed book. Looks and feels like a big game of musical chairs to me. Speculators buying and selling to each other at ever-increasing prices, hoping to grab a chair (and a sale at a profit) before the music stops (and the bottom falls out).
  11. I haven't read the series yet. I'm just hoping to pick one up at SDCC and get it signed by Kirkman and Adlard. Maybe it won't be so impossible after all. I'm sorry...what...?!?
  12. That, and the bulk of the print run has yet to be released. Seeing as everyone has already read the first 48, even if they want it most are willing to wait to get it in person at SDCC (or with the hope that prices will come down significantly shortly thereafter).
  13. ok, then...going to find another thread of interest until you're done throwing your tantrum here. Carry on...
  14. Moderns that are heating up on ebay! NOT collectible comments! Moderns that are heating up on ebay! NOT TV shows! Moderns that are heating up on ebay! NOT Redmond action figures! You're really being a cry baby about the forum conversation. Obviously the sucess of Thief of Thieves as a television show/series/concept is important to the future and current heat that it is experiencing in the market. The notion that you want to limit the conversation in the thread to "Walking Dead 48 is up $10 this week" is depressing at best. :kidaround:relax! Life's too short to get all bent out of shape becasue someone's responsive CGC Board post doesn't squarley fit in mental compartment you conceive that it should. Strange that cos I think you're a This post is Get back on track, please!
  15. I was under the impression that it was 5000. Not sure why, but...that's what comes to mind.
  16. maybe for the 100th issue, he can do something REALLY special...like maybe make the book GOOD again?
